GOP congressman: 'It is not your money'
World Net Daily ^ | By Joe Kovacs

Posted on 11/19/2008 6:17:04 PM PST by Desron13

Cavuto asked Knollenberg: "When the housing industry CEOs come to you and say, 'You know, [if] we go under and all the ancillary businesses – the dishwasher manufacturers, the washer-and-dryer manufacturers, the Lowe's and the Home Depots that vastly depend on our being alive and vibrant – if we go under, there's hell to pay. And then the textile manufacturer comes to you and says, 'If we go down, there's hell to pay.' And on and on and on we go. Where do you draw the line with our money?"

"It is not your money," said Knollenberg.

Cavuto screamed back, "It is! It is taxpayers money!"

Knollenberg claimed dealers are not selling cars right now because "there's no credit to get."

He explained, "If we could just remove that problem, and this is what we're trying to do, then we'd be in the position to sell cars."

Blood started shooting from my eyes when I saw this. The sheer arrogance is simply astounding. This from a so called Republican. These are the same looters that claim that the party has to become more "centrist". I think I just developed a spontaneous bleeding ulcer.

"It is not your money," said Knollenberg.

And the seat you're occupying won't be yours anymore in 2010, RINO!

Yeah, it is pretty hard to believe, but this guy was from MI after all. Further, it appears that he was just replaced by a Democrat from a district the Republicans had held since forever. He has probably been a RHINO for years.

Since 2005, I have felt more and more like I was living in the twilight zone. The country at this stage bears little resemblence to the one I grew up in. The insanity gets worse every day. It could be this is just part of getting older, but I think its more than that.

Oh, I missed a good one today! Thanks for posting. The arrogance of that Rino is palpable, even through the article. Cavuto is not one to back down, he’s a smart man with a great show.

"It is not your money," said Knollenberg.

I'm contemplating taking steps to no longer pay taxes after watching this. Outrageous!!

700 billion is in play. Anyone and everyone has an obligation to get some.

Even the taxpayer.

Go get yours.

You really don’t think government or your fellow taxpayers care do you - look who they voted into office.

Almost daily, Neil feels my pain. He was almost speechless at the bail out and now with the automotive bail out.

The only decent, thoughtful personality on Fox any more, IMO.

so called Republican.

He may call himself a Republican but I have to say there are some really (I'll be nice here) bad ones. And I do have an ulcer that I'm sure has been brought on by all this so-called election.

I feel like I have been discriminated against and there is no one to fight for my rights.

If we stand true to our principles, eventually the country will come around.

At least, that worked for the Marxists. Look at Obama.

700 billion is in play.

That's just an appetizer.

It's a lot more than that. It's NEA- and media-driven social decay.

It's the Marxists, destroying everything they touch, defiling what they cannot destroy, and defaming what they cannot defile. It's the Dresden School at work, through American channels of instruction and information, jamming us with a propagandistic death-message stream intended to derange, demoralize, disarm, and kill.

Neil Cavuto has a lot of sense, it’s refreshing to watch him fight the good fight. Too bad he seems to be the exception these days.

WTH? if i hear this LIE one more time my head will explode. there is PLENTY of credit to be had, if you have a good to excellent credit rating, and the ability to PAY. hell, you can have a moderate credit rating and still get a credit card, you will just pay a higher interest rate!
what he is purposing for the car industry is what fanny and freddie did to the mortgage business. no money down, bad credit, no credit, no problem, sign here.....
oh it will sell cars, lots of them and in a few years we will have to bail out all the deadbeats that purchased escalades and hummers. yet another credit crisis waiting to happen. have they not learned a damn thing from this one?
every day i got to toss out some bank seeking me out to offer me credit. if you cant get a loan, it is probably due to very poor credit or a inability to pay. when did having a brand new car become a right?!!!

I phoned both of his offices this morning. His Washington office hung up on me after they asked whether I lived in his district and I admitted that I didn’t. His Farmington Hills office was much more cordial and pretended to take my contact info.

Yeah, the twilight zone in so many ways. People dumbed
down by worthless schools that cost more and more, voted
for an empty suit. Empty Suit can't find anyone to serve
in ‘his’ cabinet except BilHil retreads, and it's change!
I feel like the inmates are running the asylum. Or just
maybe society is coming apart piece by piece.

Mark Levin says it’s not $700 billion... it’s $3.4 trillion. Why not? A trillion here, a trillion there, pretty soon...
