Oswald co-worker no longer silent about JFK assassination role

01:56 AM CST on Sunday, November 16, 2008

By HUGH AYNESWORTH / Special Contributor to The Dallas Morning News

LEWISVILLE – Buell Frazier wants to tell it like it is – or was – on a very important day in U.S. history 45 years ago in Dallas.

The quiet, thoughtful man of 64 is not as well-known as some of the others who skyrocketed to fame or infamy in November 1963. But Mr. Frazier played a defining, if unintentional, role in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

He drove Lee Harvey Oswald to work that fateful Nov. 22.

And the Warren Commission, the investigative committee appointed to explain all aspects of Mr. Kennedy's death, claimed that Oswald carried his cheap mail-order rifle to work with him in Mr. Frazier's car.

That put Mr. Frazier in the spotlight immediately after Oswald was captured – and long afterward as a mourning nation sought to find an explanation to the tragedy.

With but a few exceptions, he has kept almost 4 ½ decades of angst, frustration, fear and occasionally even fury bottled up.

All Mr. Frazier did was offer a friendly gesture to a man he hardly knew.

Offering a ride

In mid-September 1963, Mr. Frazier, 19, moved to Irving to live with his sister, Linnie Mae Randle, her husband and three children.

He slept on his sister's couch, drove a clunker Chevy and was pleased to be earning $1.25 an hour, then the minimum wage, at the Texas School Book Depository.

As a teenager in Huntsville, Mr. Frazier had deftly ...

And I believe there's a third one done by them following Oswalds footsteps after the shooting to see if he could have done all the things he reportedly did. The answer was yes and it was clearly presented and the timing of each part seemed reasonable.

Tomorrow night on PBS American Experience Oswald's Ghost.

[A wink and a nod, and that guy is grinning... thats kinda telling ain’t it?]

Johnson is smiling at him too if you really look. Some of the men in the background are looking at Albert Thomas too, paying attention to that ‘wink’.

There were always the theories that Johnson had a hand in it but we'll never know. All the main characters are dead now and things were hidden from the public even back then.

Many observers, near the car at the time, cited gunshots from other areas than the book depository where Oswald was.

The shot in the little video is the second shot as you can tell.

What really convinced me that it was Oswald alone and how it has been explained is a computerized 3D analysis of the bullets paths I've seen recently on Discovery channel or somewheres. It explains everything so clearly I have no doubt it went down as has been explained. There was no magic bullet.

Well, I’m not one that doubts Oswald was involved, but I have many questions about the investigation. For example, in one of the highest profile cases in history, why was the limousine scrubbed down immediately thus destroying key evidence? Almost every key aspect of the investigation was miss handled from the beginning to the point that various conspiracy theories are not that far fetched.
At the height of the cold war, how many U.S. Marines were openly espousing communist beliefs? I find it a bit odd that Oswald defected to the Soviet Union and then was allowed to return to the U.S. without raising a few eyebrows. Of course I say the same thing about Bill Clinton, but I digress.

from the article:

The FBI lab reported that the disassembled rifle stock measured just under 35 inches long, and the homemade bag measured 38 inches.

I went to a Dallas Press Club meeting and awards program last night at the museum in the School Book Depository in Dallas. I have always been fascinated with the JFK assassination and part of the program was a panel of people directly invovled in the story of the assassination. Buell Frazier was one of those people and I got to talk to him one on one for 30 minutes after the program. It was fascinating to hear his story. I also got to talk extensively with Jim Leavelle, the homicide detective who was handcuffed to Oswald when he was shot. The Warren Commission Report is worthy of doubt and in fact, should be considered fiction in my own personal, correct opinion.....

The fact that JFK’s head snaps BACKWARD shows that the fatal shot came from the front and NOT from the School Book Depository. Additionally, if the shot had come from the back and above, the limo’s interior toward the front would have been covered with blood and brain matter, it wasn’t. In fact, the back seat, Jackie, the left rear of the limo and the windshield of the motorcycle on the left-rear of the limo were all covered with gore. That path of gore would have been left by a bullet to JFK’s head from the front and right of the limo. A piece of JFK’s skull was also found in the grass on the south side of the street (in the above mentioned path) a couple of days after the assassination. Simple physics tells the truth of this story....... Oswald did not kill JFK.

Sorry, but there was no tax on military pay in 1959. So therefore no “after tax pay”. I saved almost 2000 dollars from 1959(June)until 1962(June)mostly making PFC(e3)pay with overseas pay at 124 bucks a month. $37.50 savings bond and some of them increased value by the time I got out. I could have saved almost all of it, because of course, room and food were free. I needed only a small amount per month to replace any clothing I might use up(socks and such and occasional fatigues). I did spend most of it carousing but some guys saved about 80 percent of their pay.

Oswald did not happen to be in the TSBD. He was unemployed and looking for work. A friend of his wife got him the job.

Of course motorcades are announced in advance. Not months or weeks but certainly days. How else do people know where to go to see them. Bush Sr. visited a school across the street from my parents house. The day before a fleet of helicopters swooped in and landed as a test run the day before. People knew he was coming a day or two before that.

The original route was altered because the there was no way for the motorcade to reach their destination unless they had the right hand turn.

Over the years I’ve gone back and forth on the conspiracy angle but I’ve finally come to the conclusion Oswald acted alone. Over the past forty plus years dozens of conspiracy theories have surfaced, all of them either impractical or absurd, none of which have any real evidence or stood up to scrutiny.

Yes, but you know devolve - before this past year or less, Ayers wasn't prominently in view. When we were still concentrating on Hillary we had our sights on Michael Moore, Soros and all the leftwing Hollywood radicals.

Ayers was always working behind the scenes but these others were out in plain view for years and really made a mark.
