Randi Rhodes made several death threats against Bush on Herr Americant to an audience of dozens and did not go to jail.

I wonder when all of us who voted against him will be rounded up?

My girlfriend has a couple of pictures of chimpanzees stored in her Blackberry, and she calls them her pictures of Obama. I suppose that might earn her a visit from the SS or prosecution for a hate crime. But I remember drawings of Bush as a monkey, as Alfred E. Neuman, and so forth, so it’s hardly racism to say that a particular person resembles some sort of animal. I have a friend who looks like a walrus. Obama DOES look like a chimp with those ears and teeth, just like Stones drummer Charlie Watts looked like a Neanderthal Man, but no cartoonist would dare depict Obama as such. But in this PC world, you can get away with some parodies but not others.

That may change as soon as the left realizes that Dear Leader can't produce candy land in America. They eat their own kind.

It IS a different story. People have been prosecuted for hanging empty ropes on trees. The ONLY time it is ok is if the rope contains a Christian White person.

I thought he looked like a marmot. See definite of “marmot” from Wikipedia. Now doesn’t that sound like POO?

Marmots are members of the genus Marmota, in the rodent family Sciuridae (squirrels).

Marmots are generally large ground squirrels. Those most often referred to as marmots tend to live in mountainous areas such as the Alps, Carpathians, Tatra, and Pyrenees in Europe, the Rockies and the Sierra Nevada in the United States, and Northern Canada. However, the groundhog is also properly called a marmot, while the similarly-sized but more social prairie dog is not classified in the genus Marmota but in the related genus Cynomys.

Marmots typically live in burrows, and hibernate there through the winter. Most marmots are highly social, and use loud whistles to communicate with one another, especially when alarmed.

Some historians suggest that marmots, rather than rats, were the primary carriers of the Bubonic plague or yersinia pestis during several historic outbreaks.[1]Through this they are credited with a death toll of over a billion, making them second only to the malarial mosquito as a killer of humans.

The name marmot comes from French marmotte, from Old French marmotan, marmontaine, from Old Franco-Provençal, from Low Latin mures montani “mountain mouse”, from Latin mures monti, from Classical Latin mures alpini “Alps mouse”.

Marmots mainly eat greens. They eat many types of grasses, berries, lichens, mosses, roots and flowers.

The writings of Marco Polo refer to the marmot as “Maharaja’s Mantit.”

Marmots are also credited with transmitting numerous coughing ailments to humans.

This secret service jackassery really needs to stop. They have no business investigating every damn word ever said involving “death”. If you hear some rural guy is offering a free tree to hang Obama on, thats clearly hyperbole, free speech. Investigate when you hear of a realistic threat to kidnap the PRESIDENT (get real),, and to remand him to Montana for a hanging.

This silliness is the *adult equivalent* of expeling a child from school for giving a friend a tylenol, or for drawing a picture of a gun.

The Lone Ute fan in an entire family of Boise State fanatics

I am a Utah Man, sir, and I live across the green, Our gang it is the jolliest that you have ever seen. Our coeds are the fairest and each one's a shining star, Our yell, you'll hear it ringing through the mountains near and far! We're up to snuff, we never bluff, we're game for any fuss. No other gang of college men dare meet us in a muss. So fill your lungs and sing it out and shout it to the sky, We'll fight for dear old crimson for a Utah Man am I! Ki-yi! And when we prom the avenue, all lined up in a row, And arm in arm and step in time as down the street we go. No matter if a freshman green, or in a senior's gown, The people all admit we are the warmest gang in town. We may not live forever on this jolly good old sphere, But while we do we'll live a life of merriment and cheer, And when our college days are o'er and night is drawing nigh, With parting breath we'll sing that song: "A Utah Man Am I". Chorus Who am I, sir, A Utah Man am I! A Utah Man, sir, Will be 'til I die. Ki-yi!

Over the top, uncalled for and obviously deserving of the closest scrutiny by the Secret Service.

There is no reason for this kind of behavior and no law abiding citizen has a real problem recognizing why this is not simply a matter of free speech.

Sarah Palin hung in West Hollywood for weeks and the liberal media breathlessly showed us how she dangled from a rope.
The creator/artist of this effigy got interviews where he stated and defended his belief in freedom of expression.
But, this was just a VP candidate, a female, a reigning Governor, therefore no urge for investigations or media concern.
Besides the media showcased to voters how unpopular Sarah Palin really is.

LOVE that picture!

I used to live a mile from Cocolalla Lake, right next to Round Lake State Park in North Idaho, a mile from Long Bridge across Pend O’Reille to Sandpoint.

Man, I miss North Idaho...

Northern Idaho just might have the most scenic landscape in the entire country. It’s so picturesque that I can quite literally never use the same photo twice when I ping the list.

I don’t get the chance to make it up to that part of the state as often as I should.

The middle part is pretty, too.

My aunt has a cabin in Csscade, near Ketchum, and they have some really pretty country too.

I moved down to Southern Oregon. It’s nice, but I miss skiing at Ski Schweitzer, ice skating on Lake Cd’A and riding in the hills East of Hayden.
