The upcoming meeting between President-elect Barack Obama and his one-time rival, Sen. John McCain, was set in motion during a phone call over the weekend between Obama and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), McCain's closest friend.
In an interview Friday, Graham said that Obama requested the meeting during a 20-minute phone call that the South Carolina senator described as a "pleasant" discussion about how they could work together effectively.
"We just talked about the desire to find something meaningful to work on," Graham said. "He was very nice to me, said that he considered me a serious, reform-minded senator that he could do business with."

If the term "gaylord" didn't already exist, I would invent it to describe Lyndsey Graham.

I really liked Lindsey back when he was a congressman impeaching Bill Clinton.
Now that he has turned into Jaun McAmnesty's lap dog, I can't stand him!

Graham said. "He was very nice to me, said that he considered me a serious, reform-minded senator that he could do business with." I bet he did!
Twinkle-toes and McCain will now disband their 'gang of 14' and pave the way for the Senate to throw the filibuster into the dustbin.

Speaking of Graham, I want to know what his position is on Prop 8 in California? Bent over holding his ankles?

Graham and McDole are two reasons I won’t support Republicans.
I’ll support a conservative party that holds spending down and keeps the taxes low and realizes that citizens should be able to tell their government what to do instead of the other way around.

McCain, Grahm,Liberman.... They will determine the ability of Obama to function. They can hold every piece of legislation hostage.
They will not satisfy conservatives, but they will sure as hell upset and anger the liberals.

The bad news about the 2008 election is that Obama won.
The good news is that McCain lost.
