Cutter also said the two will be joined at Obama's Chicago transition office by Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, a McCain confidant, and Rep. Rahm Emanuel, the Illinois Democrat whom Obama has chose to be his White House chief of staff.

The game has changed. Will McCain play along? His bid to get Hispanics to vote for him failed. He should oppose amnesty for the good of his party.

He should oppose amnesty for the good of his party. You think that McCain is actually a Republican?

IMHO... Obama is meeting with Clinton, McCain and anyone else with a brain because he hasn't a clue how to govern (notice I DIDN'T say “rule!)
Obama ran on a platform of not wanting four more years of Bush. We are getting Clinton/Bush in spades. Lucky for us we aren't getting any pure Obama, yet...

Another chance to reach across the aisle to his esteemed colleague. McCain will promise his unconditional fealty.
What a pity; the guy never really stood for anything that he couldn’t or wouldn’t compromise on.

politics have strange bedfellows.
don’t forget nixon and democrat john connally (the texas gov. that got shot with JFK). nixon wanted connally to be president after nixon’s second term.
After Washington (the only true great president because he didn’t want the job), Politicians have used the constitution as a foundation for their own cravings for power. And it didn’t matter how they got there. And no current party is un-stained. And the military has been abused as a tool for their ego building.

I suspect these two could both get appointments of some sort for the very reasons you mentioned. Obama wants cover. They want to be players.
When the Republican party hitched it’s wagon to McCain earlier this year, it was basically the death of the party.
It will continue to exist, but I don’t expect it to every amount to much as long as it’s members act like donkeys.
The only way the party can be saved, is if the rank and file rise up and take over. Otherwise, folks are just wasting their time thinking anything important will ever happen in the party again, other than it ceasing to exist at all.

Republicans beat him up before wining primary, love him during election and then afterwards beat him up again. Wrong. We never loved him. We loved Palin.

John McCain and his good friend Lindsey Grahamnesty to meet with the Obamessiah and his henchman, Rahm Emanuel. Nothing good can come of this.

This should remove all doubt that we are actually operating under a one party system.>/i> The fact that there's apparently a meeting scheduled?
