FYI
I think Bx0 won because he stood up and TOOK the nomination. He didn’t ask for it, he didn’t namby-pamby around, he took it, as did Reagan, and then took the election.
We need someone big enough to go for the prize and take it. Like W, sort of.
The next generation is all those in the 40 and 50 year age group. Haley would be one of the few ‘old guy” exceptions, just because he has stayed out of the fray and has stuck to his guns more often than not on most issues. Not something that could be said about many Republicans on the hill and such.
Jindal could be purple and I’d vote for him. I don’t care. My desire is to nominate a conservative who is able to communicate at a level above generic talking points. Their color matters about as much to me as what kind of junk they’re sporting. I’d vote for a tranny if it could balance a budget and get me a flat tax. But yet, it’s really my desire to lock up the coveted Indian voting bloc.
sure, you and other freepers here just happen to always go on and on about the 2-3 non white GOPers of note
Jindal, Steele, Watts...till he showed his true colors last month......out of all the GOP governors and whatnot out there
some here focus just on the non white ones and it’s just because of qualifications/
lol
The people who are saying that are missing the point. Sarah is the Republican Party right now.
She has executive experiance. She connects with people. It is not rocket science.
The Sarah nay sayers need to know their role and shut their mouth. It looks pathetic. She is our leader and up and coming star. These post election interviews have been nearly flawless. What the heck do you expect ? Do you expect her to give the Gettysburg address ?
Bobby Jindal is 37 years old and looks like a little kid. and Sarah has just as much executive experiance as he does.
I oppose Steele as head of the RNC and think he’s a lightweight squishy conservative. JC Watts is a complete non-entity so I’m not sure why you’re mentioning him. Other than that you’ve got me nailed. I don’t see why race should even be an issue. Let’s get above the level of the democrats here. They’re the race conscious ones.
Jindal has long experience. Not just as gov but he was involved with John Breaux with health care for a long time, has been in more executive positions than Sarah.
She is more attractive and older and certainly a better speaker. But Jindal doesn’t seem to inspire the hatred that she does,,,even tho we explain it in all kinds of ways, she is a person who seems to hit some in extreme ways. I think it is unfair, but it is and to ignore it is at our peril.
Beautiful women often bring out the worst in others and beautiful, tough women with greathusbands, obviously happy and blessed, really make other women turn into cats.
I don’t believe a woman will be president in my lifetime.
Bobby Jindal is no Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin is something special.
Yeah. Lets go to the one who inspires less hate. We are just the Main Stream Medias’ (you know what). They are our master. Bend over and submit.
One more thing.
Do you realize how gutless that is. To abandon Sarah for that reason ? When she clearly has took a stand for us and our values. She is the strongest leader on the national stage right now.
You are not a Judas. More like a Pilate. Release Barraabbas !
“Minorities want a liberal or better yet someone percieved as attacking the old white power structure...”
Ding, that’s a home run.
I live in the biggest of cities, and there is no doubt in my mind about the contempt most minorities have for whites.
If you liked the Bushbots, you’ll just love the Palin-drones!
If you enforce the law you won’t have to deport. They will return to their countries of origin to find work.
I am not a drone. I am seeing Republicans who want to keep making the same mistakes over and over again. In 2012 Vote for Jindal, vote for Huckabee, vote for whoever else. Split the conservative vote. And watch Mitt Romney or another RINO rise up like McCain did.
We need a conservative we can rally around. Sarah has leadership qualities and charisma that Jindal lacks.
I agree. Jindal has a thin resume but that is not to take away what he has accomplished at the young age of 36. I am perplexed about Steele. Can’t say that his accomplishments have been that great to date. Does he really represent the ‘fighter mentatlity’ to head up the RNC and represent the conservative values?
Sarah just came off a grueling national campaign. That in and of itself is experience others don’t have. She will get stronger on many national and international issues over the next 2 years. Just watch. People tend to misjudge her I think because of her folky style. But look at what she did in Alaka folks. No men did what she did. As far as having lack of substance on the national issues - all Governors share that. Bush and Clinton are examples as former Gov’s prior to being elected who lacked international experience.
Someone who is as ambitous as Sarah knows how to fight for what she wants. Watch that unfold over time - substance and all. Like it or not, Presidential elections are often about a popularity contest to many. I don’t find Jindal telegenic and somewhat wonky - in addition to only 10 months in office as Gov.
We need a telegenic, good communicator with strong conservative principles, with a track record of success who can reach out to first - the Republican base, then also reach across to moderates and independents the way Reagan did. The women, hispanics and the 18 to 29 year old’s (who I predict are in for a rude awaking over the next 4 years with Obama) will be needed in a general election. Do you really think Obama had substance on issues? The man campaigned daily for 2 years straight sticking to the same script. The MSM never asked him the difficult questions.
Americans just elected an “American Idol’ President. I stated this before. We need to get away from the typical grey haired dudes. Sarah will not go back as a VP candidate. It will be President all the way - if she runs.
Mike Huckabee - big government Republican. As WFB said about W - conservative but not A conservative. Nice guy fit for TV, not the White House.
I agree. She will transform herself and change minds by winning over the media and ‘others’ over the next few years... maybe months. She is smart to take head-on the ‘perception battle’ now of her ...and to start laying the ground work at a grass roots level.
Political strategists would agree with you Godsgirl.
Amen. Well stated. Thanks, you saved me alot of typing.
Jindal doesn’t seem ‘telegenic’ enough to win the majority votes. Let me ask this? Of all the candidates in the Democratic primary, do you think Obama had the most policy depth? I don’t think so.
Fresh face, good communicator, telegenic... its called the likeability factor. I start to slouch in my chair when Jindal is speaking. I trust that he will be great at governing, but that doesn’t equate to winning popular votes in a general election. We need both.
Palin 2012
“Beautiful women often bring out the worst in others and beautiful, tough women with greathusbands, obviously happy and blessed, really make other women turn into cats.”
“I dont believe a woman will be president in my lifetime.”
Not if women don’t wake up and get pass their dillusional cat fights.
With respect.
