“I’d bet there are a lot of career employees in the intelligence agencies who’ll be glad to see Obama take the oath so they can finally speak out against all this illegal spying and get back to their real mission,” says Caroline Fredrickson, the ACLU’s Washington D.C. legislative director.”

Oooorrrrr, they can say “Wow, can you believe all the horrible things and plans we are overhearing! This is truly frightening!”

Can’t be any worse than the “Joe The Plumber” warrantless investigations undertaken by civilian authorities. How about other dissenters?

Warrantless? That’s because no warrant is required to listen to foreign phone calls. ABC can conflate the word ‘domestic’ all it wants, it doesn’t apply here.

Boy, oh boy, I sure *hate* the way Bush went after those terrorists on our soil. What audacity! The violating of their civil rights is beyond forgiveness. /heavy sarcasm

Well, we shall see the extent of the hypnosis and brainwashing of our fellow citizens if this line of thinking is not challenged, especially by the Republican party in a unified voice.

The Press is still short strokin it over the wire tap program, but how come they not concerned about Obama’s proposed “Domestic Army” which by it’s definition will be used on American soil against People living with in the borders of the USA?

Career demonRATs, whose real mission is destroying republicans. Seriously, is the NY Slimes registered as an agent of a foreign government? On the other hand, I’d be careful what I wished for, because someone might reveal exactly who the terrorists are communicating with in the US.

The source being ABC - the weakness of out country to allow the media to produce suck trash - if the United Sates falls into chaos and their is a “1776” style Revolution - the press should be charged with treason - I see them no better than those that sided with the Red Coats in Boston.

They misinform, aid the enemy in propaganda, and most recently aided the election of a socialist to office.

The are 50 % of the problem and use Freedom of Speech to bring disillusions of grandeur to the surface for the masses to drown themselves in!

I wouldn’t be surprised if 0bama does nothing, says nothing.

After all, it would be an excellent method for 0bama to spy on AMERICANS that disagree with him.

It’s pretty obvious to me that, even if you distrust Bush, his lack of willingness to fight back against his detractors point to a man who wouldn’t use the eavesdropping ability he has at his disposal to spy on those who disagree with him.

So some tart of a CIA desk jockey is outed by who knows who and all hell breaks loose. But these idiots are salivating at the prospect of exposing intelligence gathering secrets?

Wow, if true, Obama and America will find out just how important this was to our security. Terrorists aren’t going to bother with the Conservative areas of Podunk, USA where I live though, it will be the large cities that celebrated in the streets on Nov. 4.

9-11-01, has been forgotten and we are back to “It’s the economy, Stupid” again. I remember those times where the leadership promised to bring those responsible to justice. Attack after attack, and still the same old line. War is declared upon us and instead of preparing for war, Bubba, treats each and every one as a criminal justice issue. Obama is going to be much worse for this country than even many of us imagined.

There is no doubt that he hasn’t a clue as to what to do as President and will depend on the recycled Clinton Adm to get him through. No need for this to be any different as he has rode the coattails of others his entire life.

Obots and Headbangers are about to be disappointed. Nothing is going to be revealed and nothing is going to be changed.

I expect Homeland Security to go on steroids under Zero.

Zero will probably throw the Obots a bone, a name here and there who was exposed, but change it, no.

At least now we know why the leftists and Obama were so ‘against’ wiretapping terrorists.... so many domestic and foreign terrorists are members of their ‘constituency’, overseas supporters...indeed best friends and neighbors. (eye roll)

My gut instinct is to read this and want to go ballistic on the NYT, treating them as the traitors they are. But, I also have to wonder if things are as they seem.

I don’t think much of it is illegal. The spying is directed at known terrorist contacting people here.
But I am done with defending Bush. He has messed everything up so badly these last 2 years, nail him for anything you can find!!

Well we’ll soon see just how brave he really is.

If he really undoes what Bush has done to protect this country and something blows up here and Americans die he’s going to have a lot explaining to do...

Glad I don’t live in a large city...

The media should publish the names of all the innocent Americans who have been falsely accused and prosecuted of any crime due to the monitoring of their overseas communications under the authority of the “Terrorist Surveillance Program”.

But perhaps they already have.

So when the spies start to talk, will it endanger any agents in the field? Then the myth and hypocrisy of the PlameGame will be shattered.

They are setting up Bush's prosecution.

Bush better pardon Cheney, then resign. Then Cheney can pardon Bush. Otherwise, he will not get a happy, quiet retirement.
