Would you have rather had Hillary as President than B. Hussein Obama?

Posted on 11/10/2008 8:55:17 PM PST by mathwhizz

If this was always going to be a democratic year, does what you know now about Obama change how you felt in the primaries?

I know it's a disgusting choice between the two, but even Ann Coulter supported Hillary over the Hussein and even McCain.

I don’t know anyone who thought that. Rush didn’t think so. None of the conservative talk radio people said that, to my knowledge. None of my personal friends ever said that to me.

To whom are you ascribing this notion? Please name some of these people.

Hillary, hands down! We know what Hillary is about, she’s been on the national scene for nearly twenty years. Obama hasn’t even finished one Senate term, was raised and influenced in his youth by a bunch of weirdos, hung out with radicals, the press coddles him and his 20 year membership in a radical church bugs the Hades out of me.

I’m ashamed to admit it but yes. I think Hillary wouldn’t intentionally destroy the USA. She seems like she could be at least reasoned with.

Yes.

Because Hillary! is an American.

Because I would not even suspect that Hillary! would welcome some dirty nukes’ going off in several American cities.

I'll take Obama. Hillary would have taken us down the same path, just more slowly and stealthily.
Obama’s radicalism is much more blatant and his huge ego will allow him to push forward more forcefully the revolution he desires. It makes the aversion to him stronger and thus will help mobilize many more people to rise up against him.
Hillary would be more of the frog in the water syndrome we've been heating up in.

I would. If it would help her gain power, she’d turn a blind eye to that in a second.

H$!! NO! Hillary and her concubine have almost eighteen years of executive office experience. Eight of them in the WH. Eight more thinking about how to do it better and lining up friends and favors to help them. If 0bama is Pres. for eight years he won’t be as experienced or connected as Hillary is right now.

The enemy you know is better than the one you don’t.

Barak Obama is the most illusive, unknown elected President this country has ever had. As putrid a thought as it is to have Sir Hillary (back) in the White House, at least she would have been the enemy we knew — the one we could predict how she would lead. With Obummer — every last citizen who voted him into office deserves whatever is about to happen. The rest of us have to suffer through it as well — which is the price we pay for democracy.

I know some of you on FR don’t like Dr. Phil, but there is one “catch phrase” he uses often that comes to mind with how and why Obummer got elected. He tells divorced parents that they have to love their children MORE than they hate each other, in order to co-parent them, and co-exist in relative peace and harmony.

What I think happened in the election was that people (including Republican Conservatives) voted more out of hatred for the media’s version of President Bush’s & his policies, rather than out of love for Obummer and his non-existence “plan for change”. There WAS no plan for change, and voters knew that. But between their “Bush administration fatigue”, their fear of being called racist, their curiosity about the social implications of electing a black man to the White House, and their general ignorance about why capitolism and a free society is so precious to this country — they voted with their feelings rather than their brains.

Be careful what you wish for. Sometimes — what you think you want turns out to be a nightmare.

May God bless President Bush and Laura, as they leave a valiant legacy of leadership, conviction, and strength behind them. It will be a long, LONG time before we see that kind of Presidential character and statesmanship living on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Surely, Hillary has some sort of ultra-devious plan to become vice president and then force Obama to resign. When she made it big in the cattle futures market against nearly impossible odds of quadrillions to 1, I knew that no one should underestimate her. Everything is going according to plan for Hillary...

no, because she would have tacked right when necessary to
stay in office for eight years. her friends and appointments
would have been the same as obama’s. she’s a saul alinsky
fan, too. i’m not certain obama will be as sure-footed.
plus, i didn’t want bill clinton’s presidency validated by her election.
