In his weekly radio address President Bush said, "So my Administration will work hard to ensure that the next President and his team can hit the ground running. For more than a year now, the White House and agencies throughout the Federal government have been preparing for a smooth transition. We've provided intelligence briefings to the President-Elect, and the Department of Justice has approved security clearances for members of his transition staff. In the coming weeks, we will ask Administration officials to brief the Obama team on major ongoing policy issues, ranging from the financial markets to the war in Iraq. I will keep the President-Elect fully informed on important decisions during this critical time for our Nation. Taken together, these measures represent an unprecedented effort to ensure continuity throughout the executive branch.".

I DID NOT KNOW YOU HAD TWO LITTLE GIRLS TO BUY FOR?
Wow, Former President Bush looks great!
Back in 2001 my husband & I were vacationing in Maine.
We went to a minor league baseball game, Portland Sea Dogs, and Former President & Mrs Bush were there to throw out the first pitch!
That is the closest we’ve ever come to a President, and it was the thrill of the vacation!
We have the utmost respect for these two Presidents, who faithfully protected this country. God Bless them!
Awesome pics & wonderful to look ack and remember oh so fondly!
What a wonderful letter, Kas! Thank God for people like
you who “get it” where our president is concerned.
He is looking out for all freedom-loving people! And is
blasted for his trying! *sigh*
Dude, Elmo's got on a jacket and tie!
Thank you very much! ((Hugs))
Good for you!
Sorry about not having a cute picture, having problems with my Photobucket account.

MUST READ . . .
THANK YOU, PRESIDENT BUSH
by CJ (AN AMERICAN SOLDIER)
Everyone is entitled to their opinion about how President Bush did during the past eight years. But, it is still just your opinion. I’m a Soldier and my viewpoint is a little different than yours. President Bush has provided unprecedented support for our veterans. It is said that a nation’s character can be judged by the way it treats its veterans and its military. President Bush possesses the highest of character as evidenced by his actions. He’s been painted unfairly with a broad brush of failure, when in fact he has accomplished much.
You can read the entire letter here:

I get a email from a doll company and have been looking at what they have. I do not think we have a doll store here anymore. I love Madame Alexander dolls and have one.

We just left Governor Palins house .it was an interesting afternoon with the Governor and her family. Our goal was to find out a bit more about the Governor we have seen her on the trail but that is not the most natural way to get to know someone. We talked about many things - family, campaign, energy, women, Senator Clinton, moose, snow machines (and yes, I went for a 75 mph ride on the ice with Todd and then I drove it myself on the ice), the day she got the call from Senator McCain governing Alaska, and much more .) Governor Palin made moose chili for everyone and Piper was helping serve the food. Tune in Monday night to On The Record ..
Apples! How ya doin’, lady?
Is it your birthday, too? Or am I confused?
