WASHINGTON -- The Capitol Steps, an ensemble that entertains Washington with political satire that often is indistinguishable from the news, begins its current show with a public address announcement advising the audience to note where the auditorium's exits are.

“These conservatives, smitten by a vice presidential choice based on chromosomes,”
A reference to both Sarah Palins gender and her newborn child. Classy.

I would say Thomas Sowell is every bit as much of an intelectual leader and the former Marine is quite a bit more in tune with the movement, especially stylistically.

I stopped reading George Will, when he supported bombing Christians in Serbia fighting Islamic Terrorists.

will is a liberal and townhall is becoming like the du. Exactly. Except, I never liked Townhall to begin with. I always thought they were a bunch of fakes.

“We are free at last from the inexpressible tedium of the preoccupation with skin pigmentation.”
And how many times have we heard this in the past. This guy’s a naive twit if he thinks a simple presidential victory is going to pacify the race card players.

“Barf Alert” is redundant when applied to George Will.

Is it too late to coin a new term?
Something like "Candy-ass Republicans"?

George Will, who never fails to just slightly underperform, has rolled a gutterball here. He apparently thinks we supported Palin because she's a woman. How remote from reality, and how revealing, in the end, of the irrelevance of issues in the rarefied bubble which Will inhabits.
To: mthom
A reference to both Sarah Palins gender and her newborn child. Classy. Will has a Downs' son himself. I don't think he meant that the way you read it.

It didn't take George Will all that long working in the rarified quiche-and-white-wine DC atmospher to beome feminized.
He's perpetuated his Cub baseball columns for years so that folks thinks he has at least SOME masculine genes.
On the whole, the Chicago Cubs for decades have been as colorless, weak and un-energized as George Will.
I'm from Chicago and I oughta know.

You forgot the “/sarcasm”.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
The most ridiculous part of his column for me was that he first claimed that while the media was hammering Gov. Palin, such media attacks rarely influence the electorate. Then a few paragraphs later he says that the longer that Gov. Palin was on the campaign trail, the lower her support got.
Gee, see a connection between the two, Georgie?
Will does make a good point that she may not be 100% fiscal conservative. But not even Reagan was Reagan. She's 100% social conservative, seemingly 100% foreign policy conservative. If she's 85% fiscal conservative, which is where Reagan was, then fine by me. (Although I prefer Gov. Jindal in 2012).
