There's a gazillion of one party spokespersons out there identifying themselves as journalists only because of their ids and their paychecks issued from a corporation that calls itself media. They are not journalists in the sense that they would work long hours to investigate and perform their duty of informing the people. They are fighting over a seat at the table at Obamalot and one idiot reporter is being more flattering than the other. Pravda worked exactly like that.

Anyway, whoever said you need to hold a degree from journalism school in order to report on the facts and the truth.

I certainly thank you for the kindly words- regarding the first bolded, I think you're right.

Like many who voted for the man twice, I went through stages of lukewarm support, enthusiast support, and finally “just wish he'd go away,” but...

Big “but.”

But I think shortly most of us will wish he were still in office, due to the imminent Obama Thugocracy”...

Regarding the second bolded, I'm mostly a lurker and linker and quipper on the InterToobs, although I used to write a lot of ad copy and some magazine articles.

I've long noted that two of the finest journalists who ever lived- Mark Twain and H.L. Mencken- practiced their trade long before “journalism degrees” ever came into existence. I've always said anyone of normal intelligence and literacy can be taught how to write a news article-- the fives “W's,” talk to everybody and get their stories, ask rude questions, and summarize at the end. It's not that hard to do.

As long as I have a voice and a place to post this, I will continue.

How long that will be is anyone's guess- I have no doubt that the camp followers of Dear Leader will try to suppress and silence all opposition- just look at their record so far. It will be infinitely worse once he assumes ”rule...”

Like the Chinese say, "may you live in interesting times, and come to the attention of powerful people..."
