CBS Political Analyst: McCain Critics are Conservative ‘Crazies’ [NICOLLE WALLACE FLASHBACK]
Newsbusters ^ | February 13, 2008 | Kyle Drennen

Posted on 11/07/2008 8:37:56 PM PST by Enchante

NewsBusters.org - Media Research CenterOn Wednesday’s CBS "Early Show," co-host Harry Smith discussed the ‘Potomac Primaries’ with Democratic Strategist Dee Dee Myers and Republican CBS Political Analyst Nicolle Wallace, a former Bush Administration Communications Director, who said of John McCain’s conservative critics: "The more that we see kind of the crazies like Ann Coulter out attacking John McCain, the better Republicans feel about their chances in the general election."

This attack upon conservatives critical of McCain, who include Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, and others, was prompted by Harry Smith asking about Mike Huckabee’s continued support in the race:

SMITH: Nicolle, let's talk about the Republicans, because McCain, he said himself a week ago, now I'm the frontrunner. This lingering Huckabee thing. Huckabee got a lot of votes in Virginia. These conservatives they're -- they're still -- they're not happy. They're not happy about this guy.

NICOLLE WALLACE: And, you know what, Republicans are beginning to say that's okay.

Before she was on the McCain campaign staff, Nicolle Wallace was a "CBS Political Analyst" who said that Katie Couric was one of her most admired people in the world...... meanwhile she sneered at conservative critics of McCain during primary season last February as "crazies like Ann Coulter"..........

OOOH, Nicolle Wallace, and now you are (allegedly) trying to destroy Sarah Palin???!!!?? You are going to be persona non grata for any future Republican campaign that wants to get anything more than the RINO vote.

Sadly, this little gem from Newsbusters last Feb. 2008 shows Nicolle Wallace in her fully RINO glory (sic), trashing conservative critics of McCain as “crazies”.....

Suspicions confirmed, the Couric-loving Nicolle Wallace is exactly the kind of RINO who would hate and loathe Sarah Palin as a mortal threat to the NYC/DC Beltway squishy drooling RINO crowd, sipping their “Cosmopolitan” drinks and sneering at the backwards conservatives across the land who do not simply follow the lead of their betters.

Nicolle Wallace, Kathleen Parker, Peggy Noonan, et al..... they type of RINOs who are the enemies of all conservatives.

Tsk. Nicolle. This isn’t helping your case about not being a coward.

Nicolle, Republicans still feel good about McCain’s chances because conservatives dislike him? LOL

NW will now get invited onto talk shows labeled a “conservative Republican”.

Yes, that little tidbit confirms my worst suspicions of Nicolle Wallace as the kind of RINO-scum NY cocktail party type who cares more about what her liberal dog-walking pals think than she cares about the real political party.

She is so the person who leaked this crap. Well I’m glad we smoked her out. If she finds work on any campaign again I want to know about it so I can donate to the opponent.

We need to get this in front of all real conservatives, especially any in the media, so that we all understand that Nicolle Wallace is an enemy of the conservative movement in America, however defined. She must be persona non grata in all future Republican efforts, because she is a dangerous mole.

Imagine taking someone who sneers at “conservative crazies” and putting her in charge of the media rollout of Sarah Palin. That is what the bozos at the McCain campaign did just two months ago, and now we are dealing with the aftermath.

It also nearly brought up my dinner.....

I gagged over the “conservative crazies” line — to think that the contemptible Nicolle Wallace, the mortal enemy of conservatives, was put in charge of the media presentation of Governor Palin. That is simply NUTS, even for a RINO McCain campaign.

Now, imagine that someone admiring Couric as much as Nicole Wallace professes to admire her. Who prepped whom, here?

Now we know why the roll out process after the convention was so terrible. Wallace probably did not deem her ‘ready’, an kept her off stage while the media spun. Then the couric interview, which never should have happened.

You almost feel it would be best to start off with a bunch of new folks running the next campaign, maybe Sarah Palin has some pals from Wasilla High School? The Nicole Wallaces of the world get hired because they have prior campaign experience, but how did they get it? By working with a previous bunch of inside-politics pinheads who perpetuate the status quo. Maybe instead of trusting outsiders who claim to be experts but have no personal loyalty, we’d be better off with solid, trusted friends calling the shots, even if they are neophytes in the campaign business.

From what I’ve seen, Wallace, et al wouldn’t be a tough act to follow. If the next Conservative/Republican candidate doesn’t adopt about 95% of Obama’s campaign tactics, someone better ask why not. Ideology aside, they ran a near perfect campaign.

Looks like the Gibson and especially Couric interview was more about sucking up to the networks to get a better post election job than trying to win the election. It was certainly one of the most moronic decisions made by the campaign, because Palin should have done Hannity, Greta, Glen Beck and Talk Radio.

Nicholle Wallace is now an irrelevent, loser biatch who has proven her political knowledge to be rivaled only by that of William Jennings Bryant.

Yeah, I’m sure that Nicolle Wallace was in Mediascum Heaven as she negotiated with producers from ABC and CBS over those “get” interviews.

I’ll bet she was getting fawning personal calls on her cell phone from Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson, and she allowed all of the focus to be on big multi-part interviews with those two.

The campaign would have been so much better served by numerous “smaller” interviews and even 5 minute phone-ins to friendly talk radio hosts etc. Sure, the MSM Mediascum had to be confronted at some point, but it didn’t have to be in the time and manner that so nicely served the agendas of Katie and Charlie.

Now, of course, Nicolle Wallace will end up with a plum position at one of those networks, because she has served the agenda of her media pals so perfectly.

“If the next Conservative/Republican candidate doesn’t adopt about 95% of Obama’s campaign tactics, someone better ask why not. Ideology aside, they ran a near perfect campaign.”

I'm not sure a Republican candidate could ever adopt Obamas tatics. For one thing, Obamas campaign was almost entirely based on cheerleading from the MSM. Never, in recent history, has there been a candidate so unchallenged and unexamined during an election.
Now that he's been elected, even the MSM is begining to admit they know nothing about him. Personally, I think that's B.S., they know a lot they have purposely withheld.
Republicans, on the other hand, must be dissected on every level and every one they every passed by on the street will be interviewed until they can find enough people to parade on camera to vilify a candidate. The real enemy of American is the one group that should be it's protector. The media, however, has become infatuated with their own power, and we will all suffer until we are able to destroy them.
