Revising and extending my remarks:
We're receiving lots of complaints lately from freshly banned liberals, trolls and malcontents. Well, Free Republic has not changed and will not change. We are NOT "fair and balanced." Never will be.
We are biased toward God, country, Life and Liberty. Marriage, family and traditional values. Constitution, inalienable rights, private property and limited government. Small government, small spending, small taxes. National security, national sovereignty, strong defense and secure borders. Individual rights, individual responsibility and self-government. Privacy, individual and family security, self-defense and right to keep and bear arms. Rights to freely exercise our religion, freedom of speech, freedom of association, freedom of dissent and freedom to resist government intervention, intrusion, tyranny or abuse. Right to constitutional government and constitutionalist/originalist judges, not liberal activists.
Free Republic is not a government project, not an IRS non-profit organization and not a charity. Free Republic is private property and we reserve the right to control content, association, political direction and access. No "fairness doctrine" applies.
We are a loosely associated group of independent CONSERVATIVE grassroots activists working together to expose government corruption, abuse, tyranny, unconstitutional expansion, or trampling on our rights, freedoms or liberty and it is our express intention to freely do this unimpeded and unrestricted by government or liberal intruders. DO NOT TREAD ON US!
If you sign up here to spread your godless, obnoxious, repugnant liberal/socialist/Marxist, abortionist/homosexualist, defeatist/anti-America propaganda your account will be summarily terminated. Do not write asking why. Your whining pleas or insults will be ignored.

I think the concept of the ill named “fairness doctrine” when applied to the internet is “net neutrality”. I plan to research what the left is doing in that area so we can be more vigilent.
THAT’S WHY I’M HERE!
Hmm. Usually at best I agree with people on most things but not everything. But there’s nothing you said in the statement that began this thread that I don’t agree with, in about the same order.
If we are to rebuild the conservative movement, we cannot allow it to splinter into fiscal conservatives, liberatarians, and social conservatives. Logically, all these things belong together. What’s the meaning of liberty if there is no right to life? How can you have a free society unless people are morally responsible? How can you have a stable society without stable families, whether or not you plan to have a family or children yourself?
Let’s not let the opposition, or the RINOs, or the RNC, or the so-called conservative intellectuals, divide us.
Divide et impera. That’s their motto. We have to understand that all these issues are important. We have to work together. We can’t just shrug off the murder of innocent babies, or the destruction of marriage and family, as trivial matters. How can you trust someone who is willing to kill the innocent for convenience or profit?
Remember newbies we’re all here at Jim’s pleasure.

Good words and I support you. However I want you to revise one part of your remarks.
You said this is the site of “low taxes” (among other beliefs, which I fully support)
Well there are many of us that believe in NO taxes. We feel that the XVI Amendment should be repealed and that Income Taxes specifically go against the intent of our founders.
Secondly, Property Taxes are inherently unconstitutional as you can lose your house due to non payment of them.
This country can and should be run without taxes as much as possible. About the only tax that makes sense is a sales tax as it is directly targeted to your consumption.
