Whatever you may have thought about John McCain's running mate -- about whether she was qualified, prepared or experienced enough for the job -- try to put all of that aside for just a moment, because Sarah Palin is who she is.
She did not become measurably more intelligent or measurably less intelligent during this campaign. Remember, she was only part of the campaign for a matter of nine weeks.
Sarah Palin is who she is, which is why I find it so stunning that the very people who introduced us to her, who told us she would make a great vice president, have now turned on her with a vengeance.

What a comeback.
MSM has to destroy Palin, thus destroy the crowds who came en masse, state to state, city to city to see her and cheer her on.
The RINO factor on this forum is piling on. WHY? Perhaps they are afraid of this little woman from Wasilla?
Your logic so it must be great.
Are you drinking? "Right back at you brother" is what YOU posted, it's not "my" logic but your witty retort--remembered from third grade, apparently.
“She was totally unqualified”.
Well, She at least was more Qualified than either Hussein or Biden. And from the way it looks, McCain as well.
Someone who engages your ideas in a negative context must be “drinking”?
That’s a fine defense.
Do you have anything of substance at all to say, or just more "WHAAAAAA!"?
Not too boring...seems you still keep replying.
; ~ )
Just as I figured: More "WHAAAA!"
If he does so, it should be only to defend himself and whatever political code he subscribes to. Governor Palin is better off if she addresses the rumors/reports without any assistance. It'll show her character, unvarnished.
Oh my gosh... there you go again!!!!
;~ )
I remember that campaign rally where a woman was concerned abut an Obama win, and McCain came to his defense about what an honorable man he was. Now he can’t come to her defense when she was the only reason his sorry ass had a chance.
As much as it pains me to say it, I don’t think Obama would have thrown her under the. Us this quickly.
>>Brown is just a hack trying to pile on Palin and the McCain campaign. Where was all her indignation before now? She is trying to use Palin to prove McCain was not competent.<<
Yep, Brown was one of the ones who said that Bristol Palin’s pregnancy was a legitimate issue. Brown is not the worst MSM person, but hardly lives up to her “No Bull, No Bias” motto.
I strongly disagree. If it was predestined for Obama to win, then why did McCain-Palin have a good lead in the polls right up to the financial crash? The election would have been close, but McCain did little or nothing to counter the impression that Republicans and "greedy" bankers aka more Republicans were responsible for the crash. In fact both McCain and Palin blamed "greedy" bankers too. It was only until it was too late did McCain meekly mention the FMs and who ran them. The crisis tipped the balance in Obama's favor, and McCain was totally inept at countering the Dem lies about who created it.
Your take on the SNL appearance is bullshit. It did NO harm, and possibly a bit of good. It showed the she had a sense of humor and could laugh at herself. It was done in the same vein as when Clinton went on some late night show (Letterman???) and played his saxophone. Was HE “not a serious candidate”???
why is there so many obnoxious ppl on the media?
Cameron and Major Garrett were drinking Obama’s BATHWATER.....someone asked if Cameron was GAY.....anyone know?
Living up to your screen name, I see.
It did NO harm,
Yeah, it really built up her positives with those who weren't already in love with her, didn't it? (Your evidence, being...?)
and possibly a bit of good. It showed the she had a sense of humor and could laugh at herself.
And that's something she had to work on, right? To the rest of the country, she was this dour intellectual, and she needed to be lightened up.
It was done in the same vein as when Clinton went on some late night show (Letterman???) and played his saxophone. Was HE not a serious candidate???
If this is the level our people are going to keep playing, we're already screwed for 2012.
If you really believe the media lovefest for Clinton is IN ANY WAY comparable to the hate they poured on Palin, and that these two appearances were the exact same in their impact, you're hopeless.
Of the talking heads, look at the gender of who is most defending Sarah. Women. From both sides of the aisle. It's not so much about what Sarah was or is during the campaign, but her gender.
It's the same tribal thinking that has sane blacks defend irrational blacks. It's the same tribal thinking that had feminists rally to Clinton during his troubles and impeachment. It's the same tribal thinking that so often on display here.
It doesn't matter whether the person is great or not so great, if there is an "identity" element, our tribal instincts have us circle the wagons around the person who is being attacked that we share an identity element. Attack that person and you attack us.
What polls were you looking at? They got a bit of a post-convention bump, before which McCain was trailing, and after the crash they never got any momentum going.
We'll never know what would have happened without the crisis, so it's impossible to say.
