I’m afraid its too late for Illinois...The Republican Party has almost disappeared, there is little or no opposition. I hope the people of Indiana still have a chance. Are any Republican officials there pursuing the ACORN vote fraud issues, or was that dropped? We need to educate people about Dem tactics, as they try to move into states like Indiana and Missouri...The news media in Illinois is only interested in happy talk reporting about Obama. As far as they are concerned, there were no problems with this election. Are there any conservative owned newpapers in Indiana? They need to report what is really going on!

It's funny, I met some Barr voters when I was canvassing a precinct in a "swing state" last weekend.

These folks were VERY eccentric. To put it politely.

Lots of Libertarian bashing going on in this election post-mortem. Lots of people trying to blame Libertarians for this debacle.

I've never understood the assumption that every last Libertarian would have shaved their beards, put down their bongs and voted for McCain had a Libertarian candidate not been on the ticket.

As you said, many of them are eccentric. I know a few of them and they're not wayward Republicans. They have as much contempt for the Social Conservatives as they do the Big-Government Left. Very few "true" Libertarians would've voted Republican. It is foolish to add Barr's numbers to McCain's and wonder what could have been.

My guess would be that [M16] will use it as leverage (blackmail) to obtain vast amounts of US dollars, or military hardware, at some later date.

That's surely a possibility if they do have the birth information, as claimed in the Israel Insider blog.

What a paradox we are witnessing where an individual who under ordinary circumstances doesn't qualify for any level security clearance is now having access to the most top secret national security intelligence. How dumb is the American electorate for electing this Manchurian candidate?
