Fellow Patriots,
Patriot Post | 11/5/2008 | Mark Alexander

Fellow Patriots,

Tuesday, 4 November 2008, is a date which will live in infamy. While most presidential elections are followed with calls for unity by both candidates, Barack Obama issued no such call in his speech last night, with the possible exception of his observation, "I may not have won your vote tonight, but ... I will be your president, too."

Of course, none was expected -- liberals have elected a Socialist with deep ties to cultural and ethnocentric radicalism, and his executive and legislative agenda poses a greater threat to American liberty than that of any president in the history of our great republic.

Obama has twice taken an oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic" and to "bear true faith and allegiance to the same." He has never honored that oath, and, based on his policy proposals and objectives, he has no intention to honor it after again reciting that oath on 20 January 2009. Obama seeks to, in his own words, "break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution."

Today, at least 55,805,197 Americans are concerned for the future of our nation's great tradition of liberty. Some 63,007,791 Americans have been lulled, under the aegis of "hope and change," into a state of what is best described as "cult worship" and all its attendant deception.

We Patriots will pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and wade back to the war front, intent on liberty or death."

This battle is lost, but the war is not. Let's roll.

The Founding Fathers put restraints upon the government in the Constitution, as they were fully aware of what an all-powerful, dictatorial and tyrannical government could do to its citizens. Hussein the Magic Marxist is ON RECORD saying he wants to do away with those restraints.

Hey cheer up. The battle isn’t even lost. Obama is such a bungler and the total libs in congress are so totally incompetant I predict. In a year they will be on their knees begging for our help. Nobody will pay any attention to stupid laws they pass. Waht are the gonna do try to arrest 100,000,000 people? We just gotta stop the RINOS like McCain and Co. from giving them cover.

If we step back a bit and think of what would have happened if barry (I cannot and will not be saying his formal names any time soon) had of lost; there would have been riot and I am certain blood flowing in the streets. The hatred and descent that would have ensued would be pure evil. The dims never forgave bush for 2000, we can only imagine what it would have like this time round.

So, we lost ‘08. but I believe barry will lose 2012, for hollow words and broken promises will only go so far. Especially, now that the whole world is watching his every move. Something I KNOW he did not want. Barry is perched on a shaky glass pedestal.

What we must do in the mean time is to build our base and fine half a dozen fine leader types and give them some backing and exposure. Starting now, so that we are more than ready by the mid-term elections.

Barry has the bull by the horns and the bull will win, we just have to watch and be ready.

It’s far too easy for some Republicans to throw up their hands and sink into depression over the results of this election. However, I am a believer that our misfortunes lie not in the stars but in ourselves. Something has gone horribly wrong with our party and the first fight should be to identify the problem and to fix it.

I’m new here so I would not presume to post any topics until I get my feet a little more wet at Free Republic but I will make one suggestion here: If there’s anything that I’ve learned over the past 8 years is that there are people in power who claim to be Republicans but are nothing of the kind. These folks need to be excised from the GOP as soon as possible because they will do nothing but drag us down further.

He’s a democrat. He will blow it, they always do.

It’s up to us.
We organize now, get the conservative house in order, he will be done in 2012.

If not impeached by then given the last sorry ass excuse democrat president.

I'm with you, Scream.

I say that we co-ordinate a major tax revolt and pull the trigger on it when we've got at least ten million Americans on board. Let the feds try to prosecute that many tax revolutionaries all at once. Or at all.

I agree. We need to start with John McCain, and work our way down from there.

Oh HELL yeah! Democrats in general but Obama in particular. In fact I'd be willing to bet that he will say something between now and Jan. that will absolutely shock a great many people including his own side. Obama, uniquely, has no real upside, he's a bundle of human flaws dominated by anger arrogance and hate. Then when he gets in and starts the BIZARRE Exec. orders and boneheaded legislation...well...just WATCH!

I have proudly flown our Flag in front on my house for 35 years. But today I have lowered it to half mast. It will remain that way until this nightmare is finished.

This is a day of true historical tragedy, when history’s greatest nation of its own free will decided to commit suicide for no good reason whatsoever, an act of inexplicable mass insanity.

Yet this is not a time for bitterness or anger. It is, instead, a time to shrug.

Those of you who have read Ayn Rand’s great work of prophecy, Atlas Shrugged, know what I am talking about. Those of you who don’t, read it - now. Over 50 years ago, she predicted what is happening at this moment - only this is far worse than even she imagined.

In Rand’s other great novel, The Fountainhead, the villain, Ellsworth Toohey, asks the hero, Howard Roark, what he thinks of him. Roark gives him a puzzled look and answers, “I don’t think of you at all.”

That is exactly what I propose we do regarding the Marxist Hate-America Gangster who was just elected by a majority of American voters to lead them to their doom. In fact, I hereby forswear my mention of his name in To The Point.

He is not my president. I owe neither him nor his government any loyalty. I do not recognize his authority over me. I shall obey the laws of his government and shall not advocate anything illegal, not out of any patriotic duty but solely because his government and its goons have the guns to kill me if I do not obey.

For henceforth however, I shall refer to him only as Not My President: NMP for short.

Respect and patriotism for a country and its people must be earned. It cannot be granted with a blank check, paid out no matter what it and they do. As of this day, I have lost my respect for a majority of the American people and my patriotism for the country I once loved so deeply.

If America wishes to regain my respect, loyalty, and patriotism, it must re-earn it. Until it does, my loyalty is restricted to my family - which includes my family of members of To The Point.

What this means is a re-focus of To The Point on our self-preservation - the preservation of my and your personal freedom and financial security.

The assault on both by NMP and his Gangster Government will be extreme. The government’s finances, for example, is like a pyramid balanced on its point, with 1% of taxpayers paying almost 40% of taxes. Their money has already begun to flood out of the country. When enough of them do this, the pyramid falls down, and the fascist assault on anybody’s wealth begins.

I know there are folks like Michelle Malkin and TTP’s beloved Joel Wade who want us to “gird our loins” and fight for a free America. But the reality is that a substantial majority of Americans decided yesterday they don’t want a Free America, they want a Fascist America.

Granted, they may be too stupid, thanks to public education, to know what they voted for, but that’s just the stupidity that allows fascism to establish itself.

The reality is that the path of freedom versus fascism is almost always one way: towards fascism. Take a look at the past seventy years. With FDR’s New Deal, America became less free and never regained the freedom it had before him. With LBJ’s Great Society, the same thing. Finally we got our Churchill, Ronald Reagan - who won the Cold War, yet nonetheless could not eliminate one single government agency.

But with NMP, we are in a whole new dimension of danger, of outright Brown Shirt fascist thuggery. Let’s be very clear here. There was wild mass enthusiasm by Germans for Adolf Hitler who elected him Chancellor in 1933. Very few thought it was in their obvious interests to get out of Germany or otherwise protect their assets and freedom - even Jews.

We conservatives are about to become the new Jews - hated, reviled, persecuted, despised, outlawed and criminalized. The worse it gets - and the economy is going to get much worse - the more NMP and those who voted for him will need scapegoats, who are us.

And any brave attempt to “fight back” will be squashed by your local city’s SWAT Team thugs.

The terrible truth, the ugly reality, is that our country has been headed towards fascism for a long time - slowly, step by step, until finally here we are, at the end of the road where there’s a sign reading Welcome to NMP’s America.

We conservatives are now Strangers In Our Own Land.

So - is that it? Are we - is freedom in America - finished? Of course I hope not. But it does not depend on what we do - for we are up against mass hysteria, against which reason and evidence are useless.

The only hope is that NMP will overreach and fail so disastrously that those hysterical millions who voted for him will be shaken out of their trance and come to their freedom-loving senses.

We can help bring that about on the margins. To The Point will always be searching for those places on the margins, where we can advance freedom and damage or slow down NMP’s jackboot march.

But that will not be TTP’s primary purpose.

That purpose agrees with Dr. Wade’s advice, Don’t Get Mad, Get Effective - but being effective at preserving your own personal and financial freedom.

The world is a very big place, and there are lots of places where you can safely invest, for example. We’re not converting TTP into some investment newsletter, but TTP has many friends who are very savvy about how to protect their money and freedom from fascists in Washington and elsewhere - and we are going to laser in on their knowledge and expertise for you.

We’ll also be focusing more on world or geopolitics and less on American. If not, we’ll end up being one long list of NMP fascist atrocities. We’ll focus on how best to protect yourself from those atrocities and leave it at that.

It would be nice to solace ourselves with the hope that this fascist, seemingly Anti-Christ nightmare may be short-lived: just four years and then we’ll elect Sarah Palin or Bobby Jindal and America will be America again!

It’s certainly possible - but don’t bet your and your family’s freedom and financial security on it. Bet on yourself, and your ability to preserve and even expand both. Count on us to help you do it.

A very thought provoking post. The only way I see out of this mess is to collapse the economy within the first 12 months of his reign. Should it collapse now, who cares.

The bottom line is that it has to get very bad very quick, that barry cannot fix it, that he cannot offer answers and therefore looses all credibility because he cannot offer hope nor positive change.

I say this in all earnest, having grew up and lived in a socialist country. Once socialism takes hold, there is no going back. No country has and neither will America. The home of he free will be no more.

I am not panicking, nor do I think their will be thugs patrolling the streets, it will be much worse. When one wakes up in the morning knowing that the only thing stopping one from being who one wants to be is the Government, then one will remember what it is to be free.

So people, the economy has to fail under barry, fail in such a way that there is no money to do the things he wants to do to socialize this fine land. And maybe then, in the midst of disaster, the people will finally see that the president has no clothes.

Your point makes some sense Stentor, perhaps an easy sign-up and request other meaningful data points later when trust is established between parties.

We ask for this data so each respective group receives appropriating messaging and can create actionable plans and compare notes with other groups. In general, we’re not looking for your average web surfer who looks to find places to vent. Those are a dime a dozen. We want thinkers that can have amicable, intelligent disputes/discussions and create actionable plans for America. Libertarian style sites like FR are the most distrustful of organized anything, even if it directly aids there cause. The feedback is valuable however and I thank you for honest input.
