What was his crime? I read the thread, and Eagle said that social conservatives are not the only Conservatives. I’m a free market, small government conservative - all conservatives should be welcomed here on FR.

I have a feeling that Gov Palin’s reentry into the national spotlight will begin as a campaign against the press. She hinted at it in her answer to the most recent unnamed allegations. Stated something to the effect that if the person isn’t going to have the guts to say what they said in public, she isn’t going to answer it. The next step will be to run against the press that runs with the anonymously sourced stories.
Spot on. We need to propose some "Freedom to Vote" Act or some other like-named proposal (like the "Fairness Doctrine" or the union scam - can't remember the name) that will ensure all Americans are issued a national voting card, complete with a thumbprint. No more need for ACORN to get the vote out and no more voting multiple times (one database). And it will disenfranchise the deceased voters among us.

The price of oil is somewhat interesting but what is much more interesting is where it comes from. We need to be a net exporter of energy from the United States. It is completely possible. In the global economy we must EXPORT. We have the resources and technology to be a net exporter of energy, but we do not have the will and SENSE to do it.
Crazy. Part of the problem is people, even around here, that think the price at the pump is the most important and mostly ONLY issue. Annoys the h e double tooth picks out of me.
