Fox Dishes The Dirt On Palin
Washington Independent ^ | 11/6/08 9:25 AM | Matthew DeLong

The effort within the McCain campaign’s upper ranks to pin Sen. John McCain’s loss of the presidential election on Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is now in full swing, and Fox News’ Carl Cameron eagerly plays the gossip columnist.

On “Fox Report” last night with Shephard Smith, Cameron said he learned during the campaign that many within the McCain team were concerned that Palin “lacked the degree of knowledgeability” to be a heartbeat away from the presidency — but agreed not to report the details until the after the election.

Dear Fox, MSM & GOP:
If not for Sarah “`cuda” Palin, instead of the debacle we saw Tuesday, due to your candidate, it would have been more like you as the Generals on a very bad day versus the dhimmis as the Globetrotters having a great day.
Sincerely,
Sarah Palin, 2012

I'm sure this assault is coming from the people who want to affect the nomination next time around and correctly assume that the first thing they need to do is to take down Palin.

Absolutely! I concur.

“McCain, on his own, would draw half the crowd that Palin, on her own, could draw. I have never seen the base as jazzed up as it was after the Palin pick.”

That needs to be repeated over and over. McCain lost this all by himself with the help of the media. Nice that they have this good woman to blame all the loss on. Talk about a GOP sacrificial lamb. Sarah was the ONLY reason half of us voted for McCain.

Fox News’ Carl Cameron

Carl is a complete ass!

He has demonstrated his prejudice towards the Republican ticket more than once.

So, you say we should just give up on Palin in the future ? She is only 44 years old.

You can put me, my husband and son in your category, too. As a Christian, I believe I will give an account for who I’ve supported. Palin made it possible for me to cast my vote this time around. And I was dang proud to do it.

I’ve not watched any television coverage either and asked Hubby to stop watching, too. He gets fired up watching before he goes to work and then he’s prickly all day. >:(

Gov. Palin was, and apparently still is, a huge potential liability for the democraps.

What a tool that creepy little Cameron is. He is such easy money.

Come on Fox - take it up a notch!

Let’s do our own poll. How many of us were content to sit this election out because a moderate Republican like McCain would have given us the same kind of (big)government as the Democrats? And the only reason we wound up voting at all is because Palin was our only hope to bring some Conservate principle to the ticket.

I am vote #1; how about the rest of you?

They are coming after Sarah hard. They do not want her to be politically viable anytime soon because her popularity would cause havoc in the comfy little halls of Washington.

you posted,"If this is indeed being orchestrated by the remnants of the McCain campaign, then it is truly shameful. I stand with Sarah Palin. She appears to be a true conservative and speaks honestly. McCain was a dreadful nominee, the worst of the bunch. He was “selected” for the GOP by the MSM for this very reason." >P> I totally agree with you......McCain is a great hero, and I think he would have been a very good president, but he turned conservatives off with his "crossing the aisle bit, and with his McCain/Feingold, which was a bad idea in the first place, and which did him in.....on top of that, his handling of the economic crisis was looked upon as a joke" And no matter, I didn't like his bashing of Bush....I don't think I'm alone in that.

I feel sorry for McCain....he did his best, he was enthused at the end, but it was too late.

The best thing he did was choosing Sarah Palin....I feel angry at how she is still getting a bad rap.

Conservatives held their noses supported McCain only because he wasn’t Obama. Now they will let go of their noses and throw him out like any other dead fish.

Fox doesn’t seem to understand that their audience is not due to their non-existent reporting capability but because they weren’t so glaringly liberal as the alternatives. Their behavior during the last week or 2 of the campaign showed them clearly attempting to curry favor with the Obama camp. Their election night coverage was the most amateurish display I have ever seen. In the light of morning, with their makeup cracked and smearing, they will be back out on the street like any other whore.

didn’t know Africa was a continent? Come on. I am pretty sure she graduated 3rd grade, and knows the continents. These attacks are going to be ridiculous.

I agree, that one is real hard to believe.

“So, you say we should just give up on Palin in the future ? She is only 44 years old.”

Do as you wish. I’m telling you, she didn’t impress me. She had a few gaffs, seemed to stumble on some things, and this report seals the deal for me.
