Iraq Leader Claims He Helped Barack Obama Seize The Presidency

A senior Western diplomat in Baghdad said that Mr Maliki told close aides he would hold the new president to an obligation to oversee a rapid withdrawal of US troops, a key Iraqi government demand in recent talks.

"Maliki has said he took the Iraq issue 'off the table' for Obama by endorsing his timetable during his visit to Baghdad in July," the diplomat told The Daily Telegraph.

"Maliki firmly hoped for an Obama victory and has used expectations of such to drive a very hard bargain with the US over its presence in Iraq.

"The prime minister has extracted an unbelievable number of concessions from the Bush administration and thinks Obama will be even more generous in implementing the deal."

Mr Obama made a congressional fact-finding tour of Afghanistan and Iraq in July after coming under heavy Republican criticism over his signature pledge to pull out combat troops within 16 months of taking office.

One muslim backing another — so what’s new?

He can remember “helping Obama” when, after our troops are prematurely removed, the Iraqi P.M. kneels before operatives of a revitalized al-qaida, awaiting their beheading.

My guess is his last thought will be: “Bush really WAS my friend.”

“If this is the case, I do hope we high tail it out of their country. No reason to risk American lives or dump more of our money into this.”

Absolutely. We won OUR war. Maliki will have to keep his own peace. Screw him.

You can be as helpful as humanly possible to muslims, and they’ll feign appreciation to your face. But, at the end of the day, you’re ALWAYS going to get a knife in the back because...

... you’re not a muslim.

How do you feel the election of Barack Obama will impact Islam in America?

We had an exchange student from Indonesia and he is a Christian. He explained that in the larger cities many are muslim in name only and have little knowledge or desire to practice the faith. It is possible he was exposed the culture like someone raised in the US would be exposes to Christianity and still have no acceptance of the religion or even much true knowledge. I maintain Obama probably has little knowledge of the Christian faith based in his exposure to Rev, Right and his mocking tone toward the scriptures.

No one (besides the silenced conservative voices) will ever in our lifetime hold O to account.

However he has created a monster by accepting the illegal foreign donations and making promises to every country in the world in return for their support, as well as to an entire boatload of dems and MSM folks.

Good luck with trying to keep them all satisfied and with fulfilling all the promises you made TO THE WORLD, Pres-elect Obama.

If they are not all satisfied with their payoffs, tongues may begin to wag. Should be interesting.

And for once, I agree. Pull the troops out now. There is no need for any of them to die or be injured for a country and a current leader there who does not want us there. Fine, pull them out. Iraq, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN, GOOD LUCK WITH AL QUIDA.

"I think Bush should demand a public clarification of this asap."

I think Bush is still out to lunch....and I don't expect anything from him anymore, any time, any place. He never defends anything PR-wise, either on his own behalf or that of the country.

In a way, I don't blame him for not doing anything now. The majority of voters bought the eight-year Hate Bush campaign and will be installing a marxist amateur in January.

Let the mess begin now.

“Obama’s political people will never dare risk losing that oil to Iran and having it slam them in an embargo during the 2012 campaign.”

Anti-war liberals and pacifists will never accept this. Maybe he could get away with a token force between 8,000 to 16,000 (two brigades), but I doubt much more than that. The problem Obama is going to have is military recruiting. The military voted heavily for McCain, and I don’t think Obama’s coming weak pacifist policies are a motivator for brave young men and women to risk their lives serving as “blue hats” in UN peacekeeping forces.

And make sure that the libs get all the blame/credit...

Trouble is they are never held accountable. Did anyone hold the accountable for what happened in southeast Asia after we pulled out?

Is it that hard to see that a new group of strongmen will emerge, exact revenge and throw out their fledgling democratic system if we pull out now? Of course the libs will just say "see we told you they can't govern themselves in a civilized manner".

Lies and deception behind a master plan - the ingredients for ‘The Manchurian Candidate’ or the placement of an anti-American President in our nation’s White House?

Is it mere coincidence that an anti-capitalist run for President at the same time Islamic Sharia finance and law is trying to make advancing strides into the United States?

Is it mere coincidence this same candidate wants to disarm our nuclear capability at a time when terrorist Muslim nations are expanding their nuclear weapons capability?

Is it mere coincidence this candidate wants to reduce our military at a time of global jihad from Muslim nations?

Change for America? What change? To become another ‘nation of Islam’?

Those who want to tuck tail and skulk away may do so, but I intend Continue to fight, to discredit and try to bring Obama down.

This election was stolen by a Muslim/Marxist who had the power of millions of dollars worth of illegal campaign funds, the most powerful black radical racists, Muslim terrorists and America haters on the globe behind him.

He won’t bask in the glory of his victory in peace. We intend to go after him:

2009 will be the year of the draft. Rangel has been wanting one for awhile now. Obama is ok with it. I think Biden was alluding to it in his “world will test Hussein” speeches. The draft is coming because otherwise, we will not have a military. I don’t want one troup to have to serve under Hussein as CiC.

If Obama institutes a draft the youth will turn their backs on him in 1 second. I would love to see the campuses of Berkeley, Harvard, Yale and Princeton after The One announces this.

The Federal Election Commission should investigate the sources of Obama’s money. Once he’s in office, no such investigation will be allowed by the new Gestapo in America.

2) His life expectancy if US troops leave to early is about 3 hours LOVE it! It would seem self-preservation is not at the top of his "To Do" list today...
