When you lose an election like we just did, it brings out the best those family, friends, and acquaintences of yours who don't share your political beliefs.
In 2004, I tried my best not to gloat at all because I understood that for many of our opponents, politics is their religion and to watch Kerry lose, it was like watching a family member die. I get no pleasure in being a jackass and trying to rub salt into people's wounds.
Liberals generally have no such reservations, so I'm sure we've all gotten an earful today.
So let's start a thread for posting some of the dumbest things people have said to us today at the advent of Obamanation. It might be the kind of thing we can look back on in 2010 or 2012 and say, "Oh yeah, I forgot what that little snot said."
Of course he is white - in four years time. Just as soon as the country implodes he’ll be a white guy again.
Fixed if for ya.
I have enjoyed reminding the insufferable libtards in Austin that their vote didn't affect the outcome of the election.
Don’t listen to Bob, he obviously isn’t in Texas because he doesn’t know we have lots of room here. Come on down. ;9)
Personally, I think my time will start with a frontal lobotomy.
They need workers, not thinkers.
That’s actually a smart comment :)
Another one - I finally feel like we have our country back.
This is exactly what the idiots were saying about Carter. I swear.
Come on out to West Texas. We have plenty of space, plenty of homes and Sheriff’s office and police department is hiring!
bttt
The worst part is, when Obama fails they will excuse him and blame George Bush.
I forgot my “favorite” line: “At least we never have to hear about Joe the Plumber again...”
I was told I would like Socialism once I got used to it.
Why do people think it will be 4 years before Americans see the real HUSSEIN OBAMA ? AS an european,I think Americans will rebel against THE ONE within a year.
The ONE will not deleiver on his promises and the prices will go up, taxes will rise....same as in Europe under socialists.
Difference between Americans and Europeans, you have the guts to rise up...We in Europe have lost the will.
Aside from the usual comments of I am proud to be an American; there was one from an English chap.
I loved it and is very telling:
“Will the last one out the USA, please turn the lights off.”
Followed closely by another comment:
“We’re screwed.”
I had an appointment in the Union Square area of NYC today, and I counted at least 8 people wearing Obama T shirts. Someone had even put an Obama T shirt on the statue of Gandhi in Union Square Park. Another odd thing: I went to at least 5 newsstands in an attempt to get my Daily News and NY Post, and there wasn’t a single paper to be had. I guess the faithful bought them all up so that they could plaster pictures of The Messiah on their walls next to the Che posters.
I haven’t had any experiences with gloaters yet, but I am not looking forward to the next conversation I have with my ultra-liberal brother. When Clinton won he was giddy about all the rich people having to pay more in taxes. If he starts with me, I am going to shut him down fast.
My coworker said that Sarah Palin is so embarrassing, and so disliked, that the Republicans wouldn’t let her speak last night. She was about to speak, you see, but they yanked her away from the microphone.
My sister said now that that “monster” Bush is gone, God will help Obama to undo all the damage Bush has done.
Two words you'll want to remember: Rudy's Bar-B-Q
“We came as slaves; now we are the masters.”
>>I tried to explain that they have a lot to be proud of since the black community has had an ugly past in America and that I hope this heals some of those wounds for them.<<
Just for curiosity, why does Obama = proudness?
I’m not proud of any white person just because he’s white. I tend to look a bit deeper and find a real reason.
Yeah, I read a lot comments about monster Bush.
I’ve retracted the remark.
