Question.

I’ve observed in the past, Democrat supporters (with literature and signs) standing directly outside the door of the polling place.

What is Federal Law regarding the distance these campaign workers must keep from the polling place?

I believe it's 100 feet.

But when do rules apply to Democrats?

There is no Federal Law on this. You’ll have to look at PA state law.

There should be a constable at the polling place, but I know that in some places, they show up for 5 minutes, eat a donut, and then leave--and collect their pay for working the polls that day. :-( But the constable should be the last resort to keeping electioneering at the polls, if the Judge of Elections can't get them away (as well as keeping Law Enforcement Officers of The State away).

Sadly, it's looking like these distinctions might become very important, if Obama's stormtroopers get going.

I asked a judge where I voted (Southern York County) because an Obama maniac was about 20 feet from the door, handing out info. I asked her if she was suppose to be 100 feet away and in typical fashion said to stop harrassing her and she threatened to call the police (I advised her to go ahead). The judge says it was per State and in PA. it is only 10 feet from the door whereas Maryland requires 100 feet (which is where 90% of people from So. York Co came from). I have been trying to get ahold of the Board of Election to report this nut but their phones are constantly busy.
