Southeastern PA here, too (i.e., Philly suburbs).

Dare I post, or will I be called a doomsayer if I share my experiences?

I urge those of you in the red parts of the state to get your friends out there to vote, PLEASE. The McCain-Palin vote margin isn't coming from my area, I can tell you that!

Obama's Get Out The Vote teams are doing a great job. Many first-time voters. There were more black voters in the polling place at the time I was than I saw all day when I was Judge of Elections in the precinct.

Again, PLEASE get out the vote in other parts of the state...don't sit idle. Note that liberal co-workers of mine are getting out the vote for Obama in Lancaster County, so don't even count on "red" areas unless we get out there!

You need to split that precinct! Mine was the largest in our county when we split, and it was smaller than yours.

The Republican pollwatcher had make a few phone calls and some legal action was being considered.

Big f***ing deal - you don't fight these dirty bastards with cellphones and "legal action".

Every year, I point this out to the GOP, and they seem not to care.

Vote fraud equals treason and the penalty for treason is clearly spelled out.

While I don't think that it fits the definition of "treason" spelled out, I do think it should be a capital offense. After all, many people have served, shed their blood, and even given their lives for this right to vote...and for someone to steal it is sickening.

Very strange on Yahoo:

They are still conducting polling. Why would you do that on election day? Makes no sense to me.

3cats from southwest Pennsylvania, Allegheny County checking in.

Just got back from voting. Straight Republican ticket and voted no on the question about OK'ing a large sum of money for water stuff. Mainly cause alot of the money would go for grants and thus may not go to improve water infrastructure.

My wait was about 45 minutes. I took a book to read as I waited in line. The voting was touch screen. I had no problems with it.

Said a prayer on the way over that McCain/Palin would win the election today.

I've been hearing more and more life-long Democrats at work stating they are voting for McCain/Palin. Even my life-long Democrat sister told me the other day she was voting for a Republican Presidential candidate for the first time in her life.

She came over to us asking if we wanted a ballot. Obviously we declined.

I would have taken them and trashed them later. Two less to hand out to the brain dead.

I asked a judge where I voted (Southern York County) because an Obama maniac was about 20 feet from the door, handing out info. I asked her if she was suppose to be 100 feet away and in typical fashion said to stop harrassing her and she threatened to call the police (I advised her to go ahead). The judge says it was per State and in PA. it is only 10 feet from the door whereas Maryland requires 100 feet (which is where 90% of people from So. York Co came from). I have been trying to get ahold of the Board of Election to report this nut but their phones are constantly busy.

At my polling place today, there were 3 kids (looked like high school age) holding Obama signs and attempting to hand out literature, standing next to the entrance. Judging from their appearances, they might help McCain.

Just finished voting at the Sardis disctrict in Murrysville. I voted at 12:40 (after a half hour wait) Turnout is the heaviest I have seen since moving here in 96. I was #1123 of approximately 2320 registered voters. The voting was very serious. I did not see a single person gabbing on their mobile.

There was not a single democrat rep on site passing out ballot info. All ballot information was being handled by the local Repub party.

Highest turnout I've seen in my little village in northcentral PA.

I voted at 10 .. were ~30 folks in line the whole time I was there .. poll worked said it had been like that since 7am.

Same line when I left for errands ~11 .. just passed by polling place again on my way home and only a few cars there now, so most of the village (~1,000) has likely voted.

Another tidbit .. stopped at McP HQ last night in Lewisburg to volunteer to drive folks to vote, but the lady running the place said they'd already been overrun with volunteers for *everything* and had had to turn folks away.

We just gotta win this thing y'all   !

- - -

Sidenote re the actual process:

a) wait in line, of course
b) show state picture ID to one poll worker
c) he and another worker verify name/addy, each on their own separate copy of the elector list
d) sign the list at my name
e) one worker scans machine card to validate for one voting session
f) vote each individual candidate electronically, submit ballot
g) return card to poll worker to be swiped (degaussed) for use by next guy

ACORN's criminal sh!t just don't fly 'round here.

Voted today at 5:30 p.m., Pittsburgh 9th Ward (Lawrenceville).

District went 70% for Kerry in 2004, a total of 343 votes that year.

I was number 300- no line no problems easy to park.

Not an exceptional turnout, certainly good news for a democrat dominated district- probably no big rush this evening its mostly old folks around here that don’t come out when its dark.
