“First Democrat to win Dixville Notch since Humphrey in 1968.”
And he came in second, too.
not to worry.
Their record for picking winners isnt so great (though The Balsams is a really nice hotel)

LOL. Hey, Democrats, you don’t need to turn out to vote, you won Dixville Notch and Obambi has 15 votes in his column. Sleep in, go to the nearest bar for the day, forget about voting, the Obamessiah doesn’t need you.....:^)

I view it as a good sign. McCain got 6 votes in a hamlet that has more independents than registered Democrats. Of course the MSM will hail it as a sign of how things will go tomorrow tonight. But in the long scheme of things, a tiny hamlet in NH means nothing. GO AND VOTE!

With the town of Dixville Notch crawling with MSM, reporters, camera crews - video and still, and
pundits, this is what I see:
A town full of people who have absolutely no anonymity in the voting process.
They don't want their homes and their town burned down by in-your-face Obama supporters outraged at their "racism", so they took the cowards' way out.
Do not be troubled, Freepers. Dixville Notch voted for Presidents Dole and Humphrey, too.
:-)

Hillary got ZERO votes out of 11 in the Democratic Primary in Dixville NotchThank you! I sincerely feel better. I'm too old for this.

4 registered Republicans and 6 votes for McCain? Are the other 16 Dems? Did 2 cross over? That would be significant.
I need a further breakdown, this isn't good enough.
Street address, ethnic background, socio-economic stuff....
Also, were any of these Granite Heads "ever members of, or associated with, the Communist Party ???

Yea, this area is not an indicator of who will win. Apparently this area loves Obama, voting for him over Hillary in the Primary. She didn’t even get one vote from here...weird.
To: Onerom99
Since Barack Obama can trace them down they dare not vote against him lest they get the Joe the Plumber treatment.
Private voting will be much different.

come on - a total of 21 people? and you're losing it? Hang tough friend! It is going to be a long 24hours+ but we will prevail “Dixville Notch” not withstanding - we may even win NH... I think we can “rally back” from our 9 vote deficit. So let's get tough and get going -- influence what you can, vote, drive someone to the polls, call a friend in PA or OH... fight the good fight and we will prevail

Exactly what I was thinking.

I am from NH and will be voting McCain/Palin tomorrow morning. My mind was made up months ago. That said.
Dixville Notch can be an outlying data point. For example Hillary got no votes there but won the NH popular vote this spring. In 1996 Dixville residents went for gubernatorial candidate Ovide Lamontange (R) when in reality Jeane Shaheen (D) won the election by a large margin.
I am hoping what we all are. That this is an outlying data point as is often the case.

Let's hope the vote total in Hill is auspicious for McCain.

Tee hee! I feel ya.
We’re all going to have to be made of slightly sterner stuff though if 15 votes for his messiahness freaks us out. LOL :)

Dixville Notch has become a bunch of communists. They should move to Canada if they like it so much.

I’d like to know how the local demographics have shifted. How many RATs moved in just to get such a result?
