At this time of the year it's usually the leaves that fill the streets with color, this year campaign signs assist in that effort but just as the leaves disappear from the trees so are the campaign signs from the streets.
"Somebody came in a hurry and got all the signs, as many as they could," Lansing resident Bill Renfrew says.
And while keeping signs in your yard without them getting yanked is a problem every election season, the folks who run the Ingham County Republican office say this year is in no way typical.
"Some people have been in here three or four times replacing their yard signs," Jan Criss of the Ingham County Republicans says.
The biggest issue with stolen signs seems to be happening on the Republican side, they say over the course of the past few months a third of their signs have disappeared into thin air.
"You can go into neighborhoods now and every McCain sign in the neighborhood will be taken," Criss says.
But what about the local Democrats, are they seeing the same kind of problem?
"We haven't seen as much of that. It may happens to one in every 500 signs," Sarah McClure, an Obama volunteer, says.

Hmmm... In the Northern states McCain signs get VANDALIZED. Here we are going to get McCain win, and put Obama back where he belongs — as a community organizer in KENYA!!

The challenge:
Between NOW and election day, convince at least two Obama/Undecided voters to vote for McCain. (family, neighbors, friends, people waiting in the check-out line) Further, convince these two people (or two others) to take up the same challenge. (Like a chain letter)
So you have converted people in the past? Good, but we need more!
Many Obama supporters are mindlessly supporting him, with no real reason, this means it is VERY easy to get them to switch over. Even if you fail, other Obama/undecideds may be in the room and hear valid arguments and question their faith in the One.
Don’t kick yourself a week from now saying “I could’ve done more....”
Do your part...your country depends on it!

It hasn’t taken the dims very long at all to ruin urban Michigan. Liberals have an amazing talent for ruining all they come in contact with.
People in my neighborhood in Georgia don’t seem to be putting up McCain signs for fear of mischief happening to them (still, there’s more McCain signs than Obama signs). But what I am seeing more when I walk my dog everyday is a lot of American flags coming out.
I will take this moment to say that I found out I was influential in getting someone at work to vote McCain/Palin. When she first mentioned the election to me, she did so with a “So is McCain going to set back women’s rights 60 years?”. I gave her an honest but not partisan answer. Turns out she is now a good McCain supporter because she sees that O is a charlatan. She said had I not been so vocally against O, she wouldn’t have kept tabs on the info coming out about him. It was the “spread the wealth” comment and taxation issues that sealed the deal for her. And she hasn’t voted since 1992!!

I live in Texas, hussein has zero chance here. Very rare to see any signs, because there is no reason. My neighbor has the only sign I have seen at all - McCain/Palin. Last night it was stolen. What an idiot? We leave at the end of a short street on a cul-de-sac. No one could see the sign that wasn’t looking for it. And what is the point of stealing a sign that nobody will see in a state that hussein has zero chance of winning?
I heard the truck race off, but didn’t get to see him, if I had, I would have called the police and explained that I think he was a peeping tom, which I don’t doubt he/she is.

Wish I lived in Texas. Their laws are great. I for one wouldn*t like to mess with Texans. When they try to change the laws this time, I*m afraid they*re going to encounter huge resistance across the country. We have seen and heard the enemy. We know who and what they are! Their plans for Americans isn*t going to get a pass!
I*m wondering when O and Biden will denounce this type of campaigning...stealing signs...that*s just not right.
They*re both crooks. They*re stealing the election. I don*t think either one of them are honest enough to care about anything that*s illegal, as long as it benefits them.
They must be worried or they wouldn*t be stealing the signs. Wonder where they put them. I have a suggestion.

That’s why I run an extremely high voltage direct current through my sign.
I can only dream that I lived where this happened, and they came to my home.
I live in southern arkansas and my whole neighborhood had its mccain signs stolen. We are in a mccain 75-80% area. This is a nationwide effort along with Acorn/fraud/fake polls/drive-by
media effort (with coordination of the obama campaign), etc...
Its getting ugly. You can tell the Obama clowns are getting a little concerned it could slip away.
