You got it my friend. You’ve been doing your homework. What’s your take on the EV outcome?

I bet it’s an interesting book. He’s got to take a lot of heat from a lot of sides. He seems to have a “Bill Cosby” take on a lot of his fellow black men. That does take guts.

These republican insiders must be getting some positive info the rest of us dont see. Even Limbaugh flat out predicted a McCain win. I take most of what I hear with a grain of salt, but when Limbaugh puts his name on the line I listen close. I think these guys were privy to some top secret info and Hussein is in deep trouble.

I’m shocked, actually. Barnes and Mort have been pro Obama for most of the election cycle. They have, in fact, pretty much said Obama will win.

“279 suggests that McCain wins VA/NV/CO/NM and loses PA/IA.”

279 also suggests McCain wins FL/OH/VA/IA/NH/ME(1)
loses PA/NV/CO/NM/MT

I like Barnes’ last minute flip to side with the good guys. I have been unable to watch him acting like a typical media tool the past couple weeks.

My first thought as well. After all his wailing and down-in-the-mouth jawboning over the last weeks, he finally woke up and got a clue?

I dunno.

Don’t get me started on how pathetic was the “analysis” of the Fox “All Stars” after the third debate.

They were utterly out of it, off-base and ignorant of even a glimmer of the real zeitgeist.

If even one of them had bothered to peek at the live thread here on FR, they would have seen “high fives” the likes of which hadn’t been seen around these parts for a long time.

I lost any interest in anything they have to say again, ever.

Hope that’s the case. Bob Novak came out of his sick bed to predict a narrow 0bama win, with a McCain upset a very real possibility. Novak is also a “connected” guy.

I just watched the repeat of Beltway Boys. Barnes said the popular vote would be 50/50, and that McCain would win 286 EV. That leads me to believe Barnes expects McCain to hold on to all of the Bush states from 2004. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed for PA, and maybe MN, but I’ll be happy with anything at 270 or over. :-)

Think about this. McCain leaked internals showing him ahead by 1 or 2 in most swing states and narrowly trailing in places like Virginia by 3.

Couple that with Obama going to Iowa and spending in Arizona. Doesn’t make sense does it? He said Iowa was nostalgia and he wants to humiliate McCain in Arizona. This is the typical smoke screen you’d expect. He did this because he’s actually in a dog fight in Iowa and he spent in Arizona to present himself as a surefire landslide winner in a last ditch effort to suppress republican turnout. He spent those dollars in Arizona knowing that the Obama machine is running out of money, per another post on here. He figures it is the best way to spend the remaining money to get maximum national voter suppression.

Now as I said, McCain said internals had it a 1 or 2 point lead in the swing states. Not true. The lead is greater than that, but they don’t want to say the lead is bigger than that because they want people to turnout thinking this is going to come down to a few votes when in all actuality McCain has this thing locked up.

Add in predictions now from Limbaugh and Barnes and it really makes one wonder whether McCain isn’t running 4 or 5 points ahead of Obama.

I find it offensive as an Arizonan that many sites (like RCP) now have AZ completely in the toss-up side, not even leaning toward McCain. He’s never lost an election here.

Yeah, I think McCain is probably not trying to overplay his hand. We need as many people to turn out as possible. I think McCain’s internal polling has probably been favorable to him for quite some time, hence his lack of a really focused campaign effort.

RCP is such a joke. I don’t understand why people think it is more accurate because it averages all the polls together. An average of a bunch of crappy polls is just a crappy average of a bunch of crappy polls.

It factors in PEW’s 15 point lead, Gallup’s 10 point romp, Zogby’s dart throwing numbers. The only poll that has been stable all year is Rasmussen’s, so it’s the only one that I give even an inkling of credibility to.

I think Rasmussen’s is good to show the trend, but his sampling is off. Thus all you really need to do to gauge the race is take his poll and re-weight it, and when you do you find a much tighter race. He has PA a 4 point race. That is great news for McCain. It means McCain is actually winning in PA.

Exactly. It figures in idiotic polls that only a complete moron would believe. Then, as you’ve probably noticed, about 85-90% of the opinion pieces they have on there are left-wing bigtime. Nice objectiveness....... I despise Politico as well......

I love the PUMA people. I also know that after they help us drag Mac over the line in victory, the day after they will stop purring, hiss and bite us. Yes. They. Will. Bad kitties do that ya know.

Wow, did I miss something? I was in and out of AM radio reception areas on Friday. The last I heard Rush say was that his "gut" was beginning to indicate a possible change in the outcome of the election. I must have missed the flat out prediction.

Sure wish Rush would go on XM so I wouldn't miss out on all of the "good stuff".

The question is, I think Rush is a subcriber to "Strategic Visions" info service, it is mega bucks if my memory is correct, but chump change for El-Rushbo...

They predicted Palin as VP EONS ago...

What are they saying now?

And are subscribers held to some non-disclosure agreement to not go public with the info?

So many questions before Tuesday they we may not have an answer to....

LOL. Now I’m worried. First, Bill Kristol, now Fred Barnes. If Mort picks McCain, I’m outta here.
