I just watched the repeat of Beltway Boys. Barnes said the popular vote would be 50/50, and that McCain would win 286 EV. That leads me to believe Barnes expects McCain to hold on to all of the Bush states from 2004. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed for PA, and maybe MN, but I’ll be happy with anything at 270 or over. :-)

Think about this. McCain leaked internals showing him ahead by 1 or 2 in most swing states and narrowly trailing in places like Virginia by 3.

Couple that with Obama going to Iowa and spending in Arizona. Doesn’t make sense does it? He said Iowa was nostalgia and he wants to humiliate McCain in Arizona. This is the typical smoke screen you’d expect. He did this because he’s actually in a dog fight in Iowa and he spent in Arizona to present himself as a surefire landslide winner in a last ditch effort to suppress republican turnout. He spent those dollars in Arizona knowing that the Obama machine is running out of money, per another post on here. He figures it is the best way to spend the remaining money to get maximum national voter suppression.

Now as I said, McCain said internals had it a 1 or 2 point lead in the swing states. Not true. The lead is greater than that, but they don’t want to say the lead is bigger than that because they want people to turnout thinking this is going to come down to a few votes when in all actuality McCain has this thing locked up.

Add in predictions now from Limbaugh and Barnes and it really makes one wonder whether McCain isn’t running 4 or 5 points ahead of Obama.
