The challenge:
Between NOW and election day, convince at least two Obama/Undecided voters to vote for McCain. Further, convince these two people (or two others) to take up the same challenge. (Like a chain letter)
So you have converted people in the past? Good, but we need more!
Many Obama supporters are mindlessly supporting him, with no real reason, this means it is VERY easy to get them to switch over. Even if you fail, other Obama/undecideds may be in the room and hear valid arguments and question their faith in the One.
Do your part...your country depends on it!

I made 40 calls today to Ohio.
I got a lot of answering machines, a lot of disconnected numbers, one “F-ck you”, one “we are democrats” followed by a hangup, one outright hangup, one undecided (who then hung up), one “I support McCain but am not registered to vote,” and one “Thanks for the call; I will be voting for McCain.”
I guess I am glad I made the calls -it didnt exactly give me any warm fuzzies. I just keep telling myself that people are going to appreciate the messages I left on their answering machines.

Many news channels there since we are in McCain's home state.
Many volunteers, Obama folks outside picketing our efforts.
Of course, the media covered the demonstration.

I haven't appreciated the messages left on my answering machine. It's an imposition, especially if one is ill, and may need to make an emergency call. I have Caller ID and if I want to answer a call, I will.

I made GOTV calls yesterday (about 30 of them).
What was weird is that I picked Ohio (since I’m close), and it gave me Colorado! Maybe just a glitch..
Only talked to 3-4 people live. One hung up immediately, after I told them I was a volunteer with McCain/Palin. The other said “I’m not interested” and hung up. One told me the already voted, but wouldn’t say who (not that I blame them). And the other told me they were voting McCain.
The rest were answering machines. Did my best to leave positive, friendly messages but still hated doing so as it just feels plain..weird.
Personally, I HATE being called by telemarketers OR political parties, and wonder how much it really helps given most people probably share that feeling..
But, anything to drag Mac into the end zone at this point.

Interesting, my call experiences have been the opposit.
when I talk and say I am from McCain campaign I generally get positive responses. Even if they are undecided they let me go on about taxes. I have even had them ask ME questions about how it is going. Never more than three minutes. Yesterday, I even recruited one lady to make calls HERSELF. (big time palin supporter). I always make a point to ask pro-mccain people to volunteer to call.
I take my list to work and call inbetween moments.
IT IS GOOD TO KEEP CALLING!
WHEN YOU GET A SUPPORTER ASK THEM TO HELP MAKE CALLS IT
WORKS
we need everyone to KEEP calling make hundreds of calls.
BEWARE THE TROLLS INFESTING FR FOLKS! they seek to get us down.
AMERICA IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR!

Issues? You think I've been a FReeper for 10 years and don't know the issues?
As I see it, the main issue is that we will lose our country if BO wins. And every Marine veteran we know thinks the same. For years, one vet friend has been saying, "I want my country back!"
All the ladies my husband meets at the dog park every morning think the same. (no, I'm not jealous)
A phone call ain't gonna change anybody's mind. Get out and talk to people in the grocery store parking lot. I did that last January at WalMart to get votes for Duncan Hunter. Nobody had ever heard of him.
You are taking the lazy-man's route.
