This morning President Bush welcomed President Barzani of the Kurdistan Regional Government to the Oval Office. The two leaders discussed the future of a democratic Iraq and the upcoming elections which Iraqis unanimously approved last month. (Transcript)
In related newsnews that the mainstream media refuses to reportthe Wasit Province, located south of Baghdad, was returned to Iraqi civilian control today.
Press Secretary Dana Perino: It becomes the 13th of 18 provinces to take the lead for its security in Iraq. It's the second Iraqi province to transfer security responsibility in the last two weeks, and we had Babil just a week before. So now, more than two-thirds of Iraq is now under provincial Iraqi control.

And it was another day of HUGE rallies for Republican Vice Presidential Candidate Gov. Sarah Palin as she campaigned around Ohio, first speaking in Toledo, then at a rally in Bowling Green where thousands of enthusiastic supporters welcomed her and Ohio native Joe Wurzelbacher (aka Joe the Plumber ), who joined Sarah & Todd on stage, and finally Sarah spoke to thousands more at an outdoor rally in Chillicothe.

Great thread, Jonny! Thanks for opening Sanity Island for us
tonight!
The president is looking especially relaxed in that photo of
the day.....I think he sees the end of this very loooooooong
tunnel he’s been traversing!
We will miss this wonderful man and Laura!
Thank you kind sir for the wonderful Dose...Of course LOVE the Sarah Pix & commentary!
She & Sen McCain MUST WIN!
PRAYERS TO THAT END...
Awwwww....just missed you!
Nite, Jonny!
“So now, more than two-thirds of Iraq is now under
provincial Iraqi control”......failure, huh!!? The MSM has
lied and lied...but the truth stares them in the eye!
Like the President, Sarah Palin cannot be photographed and look anything but great.
Post 16, BTTT.
Thank you jonny.
You post the BEST pics, Jonny.
I used to cringe when you called them “Agent Frowny” but now I realize
it’s a term of EXTREME endearment and respect. “;^)
I agree!
I’m sorry, but I believe GWB is the reason Oprah’s Obama is on the verge of the presidency.
So nice to hear Iraq obtaining the freedom our troops have been fighting for.
Governor Palin & Todd make a lovely couple, can’t wait to see them in the White House!
How nice to see Joe W out with them. This man deserves our thanks and praise for uncovering the truth.
Thanks for a great dose, jonny!
God Bless President Bush for the fabulous job he has done on our behalf, Senator McCain, Governor Palin and their families.
I pray the rest of this country wakes up before Tuesday!
Thank you for sharing all the wonderful photos of Sarah and supporters.
<<< After a group of doctors challenged a South Dakota law forcing them to inform women that abortions terminate the life of a whole, separate, unique living human being using exactly that language President Bushs appointees to the federal appeals courts took control. >>>

I guess the New York Times published this article as another example of what a disaster President Bush has been for our country.
So you can either sit back and watch Obama (and Reid and Pelosi) throw all of that away while you bitch and moan on an internet message board, or you can get off your ass and go vote for McCain-Palin.
For the sake of this country, I suggest you do the latter.
