RED ALERT Tip: Two quotes from the Obama-Khalidi videotape

RED ALERT Tip: Two quotes from the Obama-Khalidi videotape

You know the videotape that shows Barack Obama toasting PLO terrorist Rashid Khalidi? The one that the Los Angeles Times refuses to release?

"The Los Angeles Times did not publish the videotape because it was provided to us by a confidential source who did so on the condition that we not release it," said the newspaper's editor, Russ Stanton...

How frickin' stupid do they think we are? Someone gave the Times a videotape so it wouldn't be released? And they can't publish a transcript?

I guess that's the kind of executive talent the newspaper business is attracting these days.

However, I received a tip from a person who has provided useful, accurate and unique data from LA before (e.g., "All six of CNN's 'undecided voters' were Democratic operatives"). Take it for what it's worth, but I believe this person is on target.

Saw a clip from the tape. Reason we can't release it is because statements Obama said to rile audience up during toast. He congratulates Khalidi for his work saying "Israel has no God-given right to occupy Palestine" plus there's been "genocide against the Palestinian people by Israelis."

It would be really controversial if it got out. Tha's why they will not even let a transcript get out.

Yep, I guess that would do it.

As much as I want to believe Jews would abandon Obama because of a statement like this, I think they wouldn’t

Liberals are liberals first; their only commitment is to liberalism. Liberal jews would sooner walk en masse into gas chambers if it meant electing Obama.

McCain needs to talk about this truth. The more outrageous the claims made by the McCain camp, the more Obama’s people will be pressured to release the tape, don’t ya see?

“I have to disagree with you on this one, I don’t think that many Jewish people are that stupid to vote for someone who is under-the-cover anti-Semetic (the worst kind). Have faith in the Jewish people.”

Nope. She’s right.

The people who once said “Never Again!” are about to let it happen to themselves... AGAIN.

Wait until you see the totals for “the Jewish Vote” on November 5th. I predict they won’t be too much different than those for “the black vote”.

Some Jews “get it”. They are but a relatively small minority, among a larger group that seems resigned to its own destruction.

I think he is in trouble, he just doesn’t know it.

Not only do they not know what's coming at them 200 miles an hour, they don't care. HuffPo is going giddy over early turnout numbers who are all supposedly voting for Obama. (Apparently they haven't learned the exit poll lesson frm 2004)

Hopefully the mounting pressure to release the tape, and the refusal to do so by the LA Times will cause people to really wonder what on earth is being kept from them. This could bring about the same result as actually hearing the tape.

That's what's commonly called a "win-win" situation.

It may actually be better if the tape isn't released (though I would DEARLY love to hear it or see a transcript) - because this is putting the stake into the (black) heart of the press & media. Hannity has said it, 2008's election has marked the death of the media - not releasing that tape will clinch it.

BTW, I hope that the LA Slimes loses at least 100,000 subscribers - I wish I subscribed, just so I could cancel.

Well, if the tape giver wanted this to be out, and the LAT ain’t doing it, s/he would give it to another media outlet if they still had a copy.

a scorching e mail to several of their offices over there.

Our 'scorching emails' are nothing compared to their "Ctrl+A , Del" response.

If someone like Matt Drudge or Rush Limbaugh* cannot get another copy of it from the original source or elsewhere, then the video does not exist for all intents and purposes. Period.

* Hey! Maybe African Press International can negotiate its release! LOL.

He congratulates Khalidi for his work saying "Israel has no God-given right to occupy Palestine" plus there's been "genocide against the Palestinian people by Israelis."

This needs to go viral, even if NOT true, to force the L.A. Slimes to release this tape.

My Jewish relatives are dismissing this because they say "it can't be verified." I KNOW they would be all over this if McCain had given that toast. So many liberal Jews are liberals first, Jewish second. It's SAD.

Why give the tape to a news organization in April 2008?

1) Tape was to be used to damage BHO in Dem primary;

2) Use of tape was conditional...no release because if BHO wins primary then he will be damaged beyond reparation for the general election.

Then why wasn't it used in the primary to defeat him then? Makes no sense. Its not like the Dem primary wasn't close, and I'd find it utterly unbelievable that the source didn't retain the original.

Which is why liberalism is considered a mental disorder - it defies all reason, logic, and fact. Talking to a lib is like trying to win an argument with an irrational person. Can’t be done.

The telling thing was that they all felt like they had to admit it in subdued voices as if they were afraid of being overheard by the KGB.

Very telling. And you're not the only one who's noticed this. I've seen it, and yesterday, I spoke with someone who mentioned it in similar terms.

IMHO, it goes way beyond being reluctant to admit you're voting for the other party. The open, free-wheeling and spirited debate that normally occurs in social and business circles at this time in an election is conspicuously restrained. There's an air of caution unlike anything I've seen before.

I was just doing a little reading on the Obama/Kalidi connection and came across some interesting information. It seems as though Obama may have studied under a guy, named Said, at Columbia, a Palestinian activist, who Kalidi replaced when he died.

Obama has completely hidden all traces of his work at Columbia, all we know about that period is that he had a Pakistani roommate, who sold drugs, and that Obama changed his name from Barry to Barack while at Columbia. I still think that the name change is the reason that Obama has refused to release his original birth certificate. I think that Obama adopted the Muslim form of his father’s name, while at Columbia. Before Columbia, even in Indonesia, where a Muslim name would have been more accepted than an American name, Obama was registered in school as, Barry.

McCain will get a higher percentage than even Reagan did. It may not top 50% (much to the discredit of my idiot liberal co-religionists), but it could easily make a difference in FL and PA.

There is a dirty tricks way of playing this situation and making this story explode even further, and perhaps that's what we're seeing with these quotes from the article.

A source - and it can be an unnamed source, because the LA Times has received their tape from an unnamed source - can provide a transcript of certain portions of this tape.

The transcript will be very inflammatory. For instance, in it Obama might question Israel's right to exist, or he could voice open admiration for Yassar Arafat, or even Hamas.

This would compel heated denials from both the LA Times and the Obama campaign.

However those denials would ring hollow in the face of the Times refusing to release the tape. In fact, the very refusal would act as a CONFIRMATION that the transcript was accurate.

The only alternative would be to release the tape to show the transcript to be false. And only a request directly from the Obama campaign can compel the Times to comply.

This would be a game of chicken, and I would bet, considering how the Times has played this so far, that they would continue to hold the tape.

“I wish I subscribed, just so I could cancel. “

You know the other day I was thinking about how boycotts of the advertisers work. It doesn’t seem they do much good really. I was wondering if we SENT BACK any products to the advertisers in the L.A. times if that would send a stronger message. I mean, say send back the shoes to PayLess corporate (just as an example, don’t know if PayLess is an advertiser in the times). If we picked one advertiser every day, we could all send back the items we have. Maybe if they get hundreds of packages of returned goods with notes saying no further such goods will enter our households, they might feel a bit more of the impact. Any thoughts on this idea? Of course, for fun, we could all demand refunds at the same time!
