You know the videotape that shows Barack Obama toasting PLO terrorist Rashid Khalidi? The one that the Los Angeles Times refuses to release?

"The Los Angeles Times did not publish the videotape because it was provided to us by a confidential source who did so on the condition that we not release it," said the newspaper's editor, Russ Stanton...

How frickin' stupid do they think we are? Someone gave the Times a videotape so it wouldn't be released? And they can't publish a transcript?

I guess that's the kind of executive talent the newspaper business is attracting these days.

However, I received a tip from a person who has provided useful, accurate and unique data from LA before (e.g., "All six of CNN's 'undecided voters' were Democratic operatives"). Take it for what it's worth, but I believe this person is on target.

Saw a clip from the tape. Reason we can't release it is because statements Obama said to rile audience up during toast. He congratulates Khalidi for his work saying "Israel has no God-given right to occupy Palestine" plus there's been "genocide against the Palestinian people by Israelis."

It would be really controversial if it got out. Tha's why they will not even let a transcript get out.

I don't believe that he said that because the statement is clearly idiotic. A majority of Jews may be Liberal ... that I won't dispute. But to broad brush an entire group of people is just plain stupid.

It is curious to give a tape to a newspaper under conditions of anonymity but if this source was at the banquet, somebody could put a serious hurt on them. This person for all intents and purposes is an infidel now.

On local radio this morning, the host said that the 75 LA Times workers who were fired yesterday are being contacted to try to get them to find a way to have the tape released.

It’s been a curiosity to me why in 1998 Obama would have been selected to be seated NEXT TO the keynote speaker Edward Said.

Yes, Obama was a state legislator and had published his “memoir” but it had received zero attention. There must have been LOTS of more prominent people at that speech/dinner including (I imagine) some very eminent Chicago-area academics.

Maybe just maybe b/c Obama was a devoted student of the radical terror apologist at Columbia?? Maybe b/c Obama was one of Said’s favorite “projects” and Said asked to have Obama sit next to him?

Fox News mentioned the CIA but I didn’t catch the context except it was about this videotape. (I’m boycotting Obama’s infomercial.) He really is the Manchurian Candidate and I prefer the one starring Frank Sinatra cuz it’s just a movie.

This morning or yesterday am, BHO gave a stump speech and said he "would make Iraq step up and locate Osama Bin Laden."

If Barack Obama is such a genius, he would have known that where Bin Laden is hiding is not anywhere near Iraq. They'd have to go through other countries to get to OBL. So, he's admitted that he would stop looking for Bin Laden and plans on passing that duty to Iraq who will have their hands full if BHO got in. I heard it. The McCain Camp could use this against BHO too.
