ELECTION DAY RIOTS?

Riots on Election Day?

Apparently that’s what big city police chiefs are worried about.

According to the news, big cities across the country are beefing up their ranks for Election Day and the day or two which follow it.

It seems these various law-enforcement professionals believe there is a possibility of rioting and neighborhoods being set on fire. They think it is possible that some people will respond with violence and mayhem to the outcome of the election.

Oddly, the chances of social disruption are about the same, win or lose.

The fear is that if Barack Obama loses, there might be rioting among black supporters in urban neighborhoods. The fear is that these disappointed supporters might feel that they or their candidate were robbed.

The outcome: Rioting and neighborhoods set on fire.

But that’s only half of it.

The chiefs apparently also fear that, even if Barack Obama wins there will be rioting among black supporters in urban neighborhoods. The fear is that these jubilant supporters might react the way they do when their team wins the NBA championship or something.

The outcome: Rioting and neighborhoods on fire.

The upshot: If you’re a cop in a big city, expect to be on duty or on standby on the evening of Election Day. And keep your riot gear handy, just in case.

This all is, of course, freaking insane.

At least from the standpoint of us McCain supporters.

Over on our side of the political spectrum, we don’t believe in rioting and burning down neighborhoods. Pretty much, win or lose, we’ll just watch the results on TV and go to bed.

We have jobs to go to in the morning.

The last riot we engaged in was the Boston Tea Party, and we don’t burn neighborhoods down, we build them up.

So we can’t really relate to pillaging as a manifestation of disappointment or glee. No matter what, we McCain supporters are not going to loot the WalMart.

We kind of thought that our whole system of elections was intended to keep riots – and worse – from happening. We thought that the peaceful transfer of power was one of the things our country does right.

On our side of the political spectrum, we don’t see how rolling over a cop car expresses anything other than criminal, anti-social behavior.

And so we’d like to put the police chiefs at ease. On behalf of all John McCain supporters, I’d just like to pledge that win, lose or draw, we will be good citizens and obey the law.

We will not riot, we will not set anything on fire, we will not throw stones or beer cans at the cops.

Not that this isn’t an important election. Not that we don’t think a great deal is at stake. Not that we don’t want to win this with everything in our beings.

But we’re good Americans.

And we act like it.

“The outcome: Rioting and neighborhoods set on fire.”

People with jobs and who own something, have no time for this 3rd world behavior.

There are two groups that will have blood on their hands when this happens — pollsters and the Obama MSM for their worshipping at Obama’s feet and not telling the truth.

Too bad those groups don't are about blood on their hands. Liberals secretly look upon any calamity that results in significant loss of life as helping reduce the population that infests the planet. Also, they can breathlessly chatter at each other on camera with the most exciting story since OJ Simpson was acquitted.

Agree, however, the laws that would likely be passed could totally destroy any chance we have of getting back to the founders’ intent.

THIS is exactly what I am MOST worried about. The communist axis of Obama/Biden/Pelosi/Ried could do TREMENDOUS DAMAGE to us before we can correct the massive error of the brain dead voting public....

If Obama wins, we will need to fight a holding action until he screws things up so badly that the House shifts.

If Pelosi and Dingy's shared dream (veto-proof majorities in both chambers) come true, there will be no holding action. We'll be on the expressway to third world status.

Sorta, kinda like living under a dictator :)

The Zip code giving the most money to McCain and the fourth largest amount are 10021, and 10022. That is the Upper East Side of Manhattan. We don’t have guns. Fortunately, I live in a building with a doorman.

A doorman. Yeah, he’ll keep you secure from the rampaging mobs, standing at his post under all conditions. Sure.

I worked at one company that notably had a guard at the door 24/7. “Notably” because one guard stuffed a girl’s body in the building’s air conditioning system, where it decomposed for 3 years until found.

Still trust your doorman?

I don’t have a choice. I live on a block with 2 schools. I’m lucky not to need a permit for my steak knives and meat tenderizer.

And we have guns and plenty of ammo to protect ourselves from the rioting hordes.

Some of us will also be neighborly and protect our disarmed liberal neighbors from their marauding colleagues.

Ok, I don’t own a gun, but am all for the right to own and carry one. I know very little about purchasing one and / or which caliber / size would be best for me.

Any advice? Is there a waiting period? My husband is out of state or I would get him to help me with this.

Thanks,
SB1

Buy a shotgun. A twelve gauge Mossberg will run you $150 to $250 at your local sporting goods store. Buy a box of five double ought buckshot for it along with two boxes of the heaviest birdshot the store offers. Before you leave the store have the clerk remove the wooden dowel from the magazine so you can load five rounds in the shotgun instead of just two.

You'll find the shotgun to be the best home defense weapon for someone who is unfamiliar with firearms. It's easy to use and the mere presence of a shotgun is often enough to scare away any attacker.

Did you read the "Obama Timeline" posted yesterday on a FR thread?

I think it was scrolling in the background during a piece on FOX and Friends today.

Your assertions are flushed out in this expose.

“Some LEOs predict riots if BHO loses and riots if BHO wins.

I think they’re right.”

And I think they are probably asking for more $$$$$$$$$$.
Just a guess.

"The fear is that if Barack Obama loses, there might be rioting among black supporters in urban neighborhoods."

If these urban dwellers spent as much time improving their personna as they apparently do initiating and participating in voter and registration fraud, they might be much more beneficial to society and each other.

I guess they've never seen what happens when a Detroit team wins a major sporting event.

Either way, things could get ugly here. I did chuckle a bit this morning at Brian on F&F when he said, "I'm going to turn over my car preemptively."

You know what Eagle, I have followed American politics for 25 years. I know almost more about your politics than ours in Canada except I’m more interested now that we have a Conservative Government. But I have many American friends and two American cousins. I truly care what happens in this election and from what I see, the voter Fraud had better be taken care of forthwith or your country is sunk. America will RUE the day they bring in a Socialist, Marxist, Commie imo. CO

Without any doubt — and one of the weakest links in solving this problem is our own FEC (Federal Elections Committee) which, besides facing the real fraud and corruption in democrat election practices, also refuses to face the Constitutional requirements for Hussein, who REFUSES (and cannot) produce valid evidence of his birth requirements for President. They want the Berg lawsuit dropped against Hussein....so what does that tell you about what is left of the rule of law in America???

Get a 12 or 20 gauge shotgun and load it with 000 buckshot (just ask, the guy at the counter will know what you want).

If you can handle recoil ... 12 gauge
If you are a very small woman ... 20 gauge might be better for you.
