Didn’t he have to produce relevant documentation when he was elected a congressman? Or to register as a candidate for POTUS? This should all be public record.

I don’t trust him, he scares me, his friends scare me, and decent people are falling for this.

I really have the sense that Hussein would not be bothered at all, IF (B I G "IF" right now) he was not born in the USA, to let that be known after he was sworn into office. I get the impression that he would revel in just that kind of history-making.

If that is true, and if it's allowed to stand, then the constitution is dead as is the country. There is no way to spin the presidential eligibility clause to include foreign born persons.

If it’s proven that he is a US citizen, then any past problems generated will have been his own fault for not producing evidence.

Also, it will be the system’s fault for not having some mechanism that requires rock-solid proof prior to anyone running for the presidency.

You know, this kind of stuff really burns my bacon. I work for the federal government, in an agency that requires the lowest level of security clearance for employment. It took them 3 months to conduct my background check, and I had to produce names of people who knew me 30+ years ago. I had to give them copies of my birth certificate, my passport, drivers license, marriage license, and my SS card. But this man can be elected as the most powerful person in the country, and doesn't even have to prove where he was born?

Hey, my clearance is a lot higher than that, took 18 months, to get, and I had to give a lot of intimate details about myself while wired up to a little machine. Obama's past association with Ayers would prevent him from entering the facility where I work - never mind the lack of his birth documents.

I'd say that when he ran for state senate, US House of Reps. and US Senate, that everyone just assumed and nobody checked.

.... and that’s precisely why Obama stated yesterday in Florida that all voters should “start voting today”. He said that [paraphrasing] “after you leave this rally, go vote today and tell a friend to vote today too”.

He wants people to vote NOW and not wait until Nov. 4th.

whenever I sign my kids up for athletic programs that are divided by age group, I have to offer a copy of their birth certificates.

For Little League it is the birth certificate as well as proof of address (utility bills - tax bills)

How on earth did Obama get enrolled in private schools and universities without providing these?

I just sent my daughter off to college and her birth certificate was required along with medical history and updates w/ vaccinations.

To apply for financial aid we had to undergo a financial colonoscopy.

I agree. It's ridiculous that I can't bring shampoo on an airplane, and grandmothers get searched at the airport, but someone can run for president without providing open access to their birth certificate and education records.
