You know, this kind of stuff really burns my bacon. I work for the federal government, in an agency that requires the lowest level of security clearance for employment. It took them 3 months to conduct my background check, and I had to produce names of people who knew me 30+ years ago. I had to give them copies of my birth certificate, my passport, drivers license, marriage license, and my SS card. But this man can be elected as the most powerful person in the country, and doesn't even have to prove where he was born?

Let me add to your speculation, my own speculation which is that based upon the argument of the Leftists since 2000 that “W” stole the election, therefore in their view has been an “illegitimate President”.

I would bet that the entire argument would be redirected to that tired old BS about Bush’s “legitimacy”, the fact that he “acted” as President for eight years although “illegitimate”, therefore “O” cannot be denied the Presidency based upon that precedent.

It’ll be OJ all over again. In some way the Left is going to focus the argument that “Bush’s Presidency was illegitimate” as an argument.

He is an American citizen via his mother’s citizenhip unless he gave it up at 21 or did something to repudiate it. He should have been born a dual citizen. I have no clue as to how the adoption by this step father comes into play. But really the only issue is was he born in the United States and I would think there is some certificate somewhere with the foot prints and the finger prints and all floating around in Hawaii or. . . . Kenya.

It's precisely because of his known associations that he would never be eligible for a security clearance. Yet, if he is sworn into office, will be given classified information that will promptly be forwarded to his “handlers”. Aided and abetted by the hacks in control of CONgress and the MSM, he'll have little opposition to selling out our country. 1) So, if Obama’s grandma was hospitalized last week, why didn’t we hear Barack say so during his debate with McCain or on the campaign trail [”I want to send a big kiss and a hug to my grandma Madelyn, who is hospitalized in Honolulu today”]?

2) Grandma Dunham is out of the hospital now, and Obama is waiting three more days (until Thurs. 10/24) to go fly over 8 hours to get to Honolulu to see her?

3) Why couldn’t Michelle fly to Hawaii last week and stay with or keep company to the most influential woman in her husband’s life? Is it because she’s a ‘typical white person’?

I guess this is the October Surprise. Barry gets to Hawaii, makes a superficial visit to his grandmother and just happens to stop at the clerks office and get a copy of his (hot off the press) birth certificate (now that it has been inserted into the system retroactive to birth by his paid stooges).
