While on the way to brunch today, the weighted Companion Cube pointed out that 0bama made a very telling joke:
He said whoever gave me my middle name didn't think I'd ever be running for president.
eh? "Whoever gave me my middle name"??? Doesn't he know?
Maybe we're reading to much into that, but several things come to mind. Most of those could explain why he is so reluctant to allow the American people anywhere near his real birth certificate.
No...I didn't 'let' the audience dictate to me who was the funnier of the two men, I merely mentioned it in passing, emphasizing that I was far from alone in my assessment of the ability of the two candidates in the success of their comedic delivery.
In fact, I have to say you are the ONLY person, I have heard or read that thought Obama was the better of the two acts and that says a lot when 99% of the media would love to have had Obama trample McCain on this night...and they would have said just that, if Obama had even been in the same ballpark as John.

I remember watching him in white tie, reading a precanned, humor sketch, which IMHO was written by a comedy writer out there somewhere, about how so many Americans had just lost their life savings and retirements, then trying to get some laughter about it, in their white ties at an elitist $1000s/ plate dinner.

I noticed on the Google anniversary search that there are lots of references to Barack J. Obama. Was this yet another name for him? What did the “J” stand for? Did he run for office using that middle initial?
Some references said it was when he was avoiding use of the name “Hussein” so as not to be confused with being Muslim.
