I saw the whole thing...start to finish, TIVOed it and watched it again with my daughters.

No...I didn't 'let' the audience dictate to me who was the funnier of the two men, I merely mentioned it in passing, emphasizing that I was far from alone in my assessment of the ability of the two candidates in the success of their comedic delivery.

In fact, I have to say you are the ONLY person, I have heard or read that thought Obama was the better of the two acts and that says a lot when 99% of the media would love to have had Obama trample McCain on this night...and they would have said just that, if Obama had even been in the same ballpark as John.

You do know that JustaDumbBlonde only saw selected clips shown by Fox News, don't you?

Even 'unbiased' Fox picked the very best 0bama lines, and merely average McCain lines.

Given that sample, even you would have thought 0bama was funnier.

Control what people are allowed to know and you control what they think and how the act/vote.

Never said that you let the audience dictate your opinions. If it was you that commented to me that the audience was laughing more at McCain, I was just trying to explain where I was coming from ... which is that I don't judge the performance by the reaction of the audience.

Comedy is one of those things that either strikes you or it doesn't. It is no secret around here that I don't like McCain at all. Being a pretty staunch conservative, it stands to reason that I don't like Obama one bit either. I think that placed me squarely in the middle to view their performances without a preconceived notion.
