Obama Team Suggests Voter Fraud Probe a McCain/Bush Effort
Roll Call ^ | October 17, 2008 | Keith Koffler

The presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) asked the Justice Department on Friday to allow an existing special prosecutor to probe the possible collaboration between the Bush administration and the presidential campaign of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) in generating what Obama aides charge are spurious allegations and investigations of voter fraud.

[Crazy]

Beyond crazy, it's very scary. We know we had voter fraud before, especially “chad-gate”, but with Obama it has escalated so fast and so widely that it's boggling.

I've never been so frightened of an election and what might follow.

No kidding. The tribute songs, the people wearing a t-shirt with his face on it, violence, intimidation and just look at how they treated Hillary and cheated in the caucuses. Crazy and scary is very right!

Anti-American, Barack Hussein Obama, has a problem with people wanting to maintain the integrity of the vote. Wen it has already been proven that people registered multiple times, he does not believe anyone should supress that voters right to have every one of those registrations used...by somebody, anybody.

Thats two of us.

Is it at all possible that Obama HAS to deflect the attention of voter fraud somewhere else, because the primaries might also have been cooked or fixed?

Maybe he really didn't win there either? Just curious and would like to see the primary voting checked too.

suzy

I think we all are. When you have people posting that the second Civil War has already started, it's frightening.

I don't know about the primaries. I always thought that the Clintons had a ‘shadow government’ - people they had put in place - and were in pretty good control of things. Hard to believe Obama managed to beat her.

Doesn’t surprise me one bit. I’ve already been “attacked” in various place on the “net” by Obama supporters saying that all the fraud being perpetrated is REALLY being orchestrated by Republicans. Saying things like - who cares if all those registrations were fake, it’s not like they were votes!

These people supporting Obama are clueless, and every day Obama strives to incite more and more anger, and hatred. Reminds me of Odinga...

That’s what Hillary and her supporters charged - that the primaries were fixed.

Now, why would the 0bama team even care. You’d think that they would welcome the investigation.

Why would the 0bama campaign want to protect ACORN from an investigation???

If only Osama Bin Laden would release a tape denouncing the voter fraud investigation, we’d have the trifecta.

LMAO!!

I think it’s mostly about Gov Palin. They’re trying to shut her up. She’s become too powerful a force and they don’t know how to deal with her. She has pounded on ACORN and 0bama, and won’t stop.

They have attacked her, had their surrogates attack her, planted false stories, made every decision she has ever made into a federal case, and attempted to set her up with false claims of racism by her supporters with her approval.

They are that desperate.

No question, the nomination of Sarah was a blow to the dems so they try to destroy her but can’t.

She has more governmental experience than Obama and is much more likable than Hillary ever was, so even the feminist witches join in on the attack.

Following is a response from McCain campaign (h/t Aceofspades):

ARLINGTON, VA — Today, McCain-Palin 2008 Spokesman Ben Porritt issued the following statement in response to the Obama campaign's letter to Attorney General Michael Mukasey:
“After a week of shifting stories and clumsy corrections regarding Barack Obama’s connections to ACORN, the Obama campaign resorted to their now-customary heavy handed tactic of attempting to criminalize political discourse. Today's outrageous letter to Attorney General Mukasey and Special Prosecutor Dannehy at the Justice Department asking for a special prosecutor to investigate Senator McCain and Governor Palin’s public statements about ACORN’s record of fraudulent voter registrations (including in this week's Presidential debate) is absurd. It is a typical time-worn Washington attempt to criminalize political differences. For someone who promises ‘change,’ it is certainly only more of the same.

“The letter's request that the Department of Justice investigate ‘recent partisan Republican activities throughout the country’ is almost a parody of the Obama campaign's attempt to intimidate their political opponents. In case Sen. Obama’s lawyer did not notice, we are in the midst of a political campaign, not a coronation, and the alleged criminal activity he calls ‘recent partisan Republican activities’ are what the rest of us call campaign speeches and debates. All of this is unfortunately reminiscent of the Obama campaign's recent creation of a ‘truth squad’ of Missouri prosecutors and sheriffs to ‘target’ people who criticize Sen. Obama. Rest assured that, despite these threats, the McCain-Palin campaign will continue to address the serious issue of voter registration fraud by ACORN and other partisan groups, and compliance by states with the Help America Vote Act's requirement of matching new voter registrations with state data bases to prevent voter fraud.”

More detail of the Obama allegations at Fox news (emphasis added):

Barack Obama’s campaign is accusing Republicans of enlisting law enforcement officials in a “frenzied and pathetic” attempt to turn the allegations of voter fraud surrounding a low-income advocacy group into a political football.

The campaign complained Friday in a letter to Attorney General Michael Mukasey that Republican operatives were “fomenting specious vote fraud allegations” and urged any investigation of such fraud to be put under the purview of the special prosecutor who was looking into the firings of U.S. attorneys by the Bush administration.

Bob Bauer, the campaign's general counsel, said on a conference call that it seemed law enforcement officials were in cahoots with the Republican operatives.

That is tantamount to a confession.

McCain and Bush would not investigate Republican voter fraud, right?

So who is left to be committing the fraud?

Maybe...Barack Hussein "Obomber" ?

(He "bombs" when he's not on a teleprompter.)

Cheers!

Obama’s GOOD SQUAD wants to “prosecute anyone who lies or has a misleading ad” about THAT ONE....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIenDGSAdPA

Guess they should start prosecuting SENATOR GOVERNMENT first, since all his ads are chocked full of lies and misleading statements!
