We can bookmark anonymizers and surf the way the Chinese have to: in stealth ID mode.
We can create fax samidazt or we can go back to the 1970s and create mimeographed news broadsides and hand distribute them.
We can totally boycott all government-approved media.
We can adopt rolling passwords/changing identification via clothing/color and pass it on as we pass each other in the street or the grocery aisle. For an example, in Chicago in the 1960s, the police were harassing bar owners for enabling solictitation of prostitution. From a girl who worked in one of these places, I learned that if the word came out via a single coded phone call to the bar, the bartender would place a clean bar towel on the ledge in front of anyone deemed to be a cop and the girls would avoid him. Other employees were briefed on how to identify LEO by clothing labels, shoe styles, haircuts and if those identifiers walked in the door, word went out.
zerO’s backers are young. They will totally rebel if their free access to electronic communication is disturbed. After all these years of freedom of association and free speech in America, it is going to take martial law and a virtual army of informers and minders to shut it down and either way, there will be a huge backlash.
The traditional view is that WWII pulled us out of the Great Depression while FDR was still in office. I happen to think that the economy was not really healthy even after the war. Eisenhower dismantled parts of the New deal and I think that’s what really got our economy moving again. But Eisenhower gets little credit for that. Instead, people give credit to FDR, Tojo, or Hitler.

If McCain loses I will be right here in Ct fighting socialists until the day I die.
If we choose to, we could look at this election as a win-win, no matter which way it goes.
If Obama wins, conservative, right-thinking Americans will revolt in some manner against the attempted Marxist coup of our government. There will be every manner of civil disobedience, from tax revolts to massive protest marches and political organizing. If you thought Bush had opposition from American citizens, you ain't seen nothin' yet.
If McCain wins, then we have one last chance to implement the types of reforms that are needed to steer this country away from its track toward full-blown socialism. However, with a McCain win, we also run the risk that the good folks of this country will go back to sleep while the quiet left-wing coup continues.
Early on in the race, and before Sarah Palin came aboard, I had resigned myself to a McCain loss, and comforted myself in the knowledge that Obama would engender an historic wave of opposition from elected Republicans and the population at large.
Have no doubt, that if Obama should "win" this thing, we ordinary Americans will have to mobilize to save our nation in an unprecedented fashion.
Obama has shown that he can't tolerate criticism and has declared war on Fox News. If he doesn't destroy Fox, he may at least succeed in neutering them so they are indistinguishable from CNN. Expressing opinions could become dangerous--not that he will put people in concentration camps, just destroy them financially. Joe the Plumber is the canary in the coal mine. Churches will be bullied into complying with his agenda--he'll try to force church-affiliated hospitals to perform abortions, and perhaps sic the IRS on churches which speak out againt abortion or the homosexual agenda.
If it weren't for the IRS, churches wouldn't have to be so fearful of the government. The Catholic bishops may have rebuked a few Catholic politicians for supporting abortion, but they can't tell people not to vote for someone who will sweep away any restrictions on abortion because they're afraid of losing their tax-exampt status.
I have heard som efolks discussing this and their line of argument (right or wrong) goes something like this: I love America because she is not a socialist or communist country with ridiculous restrictions on freedom.
If Obama gets in with ‘Rat Congresscritters, the country will become socialist/communist.
So, if I have to live in a socialist or communist country, perhaps it’s be amusing to live in one where they have a different accent.

Hey, I’ll do my part, but you know as well as I do there are too many fools out there right now that are being sucked into the socialist trap. I do NOT have to settle for socilism...that is a fight for freedom. If at all possible, I will move my family from harm’s way. You may not feel that is patriotic, but if socialism gets it’s filthy hands around the neck of America...well, good look getting rid of it in my lifetime.

One thing is for certain, they will NOT allow us to live our lives as we see fit, they will NOT leave us alone. Michelle already stated so.
I’ve told my employees (health care workers) that if Obama wins, there will be across the board wage cuts or 20% lay-offs...the combination of tax increases and reduced reimbursements and increase in governmental regulations will render our current business model non-viable!
And believe it or not - quite a few are Obama-heads! Go figure??
I was making light of the popular view here of the socialist nature of Obama, but I do think the radical left wing of the Dems will try to roll him for just about anything, The Fairness Doctrine, and a permanent Assault Weapons Ban come to mind as two goals of a Dem controlled Congress.
