Not a car but the worst thing I ever owned was a Ford Aerostar.
I noticed almost every Aerostar I see out on the road has rust on the bottom sides.

Worst car? A 1978 Dodge pickup.
Worst car experience? Being run off the road by an AMC Gremlin.

Yep....A Mustang junker...
(pictured where it belonged...)
It had a 'variable venturi' carburetor that like to freeze up and stall the car...eventually the transmission blew out, and after $1200 to fix, a week later I got T-boned in an intersection and it was totaled. It was the only vehicle that I ever got a return on my AAA investment several times over.

A Nissan pickup truck. Total rustbucket that blew headgaskets and had a fuel delivery problem.

I traded my 66 Impala for it and rued the day. Your comment made me immediately think of Real Genius
Chris Knight: Hey Kent... That's your car.
Mitch: Kent, you know you're not supposed to park that on campus.
Kent: You've gone too far this time, Knight.
Chris Knight: [whiny, scared voice] I had help! [points to Mitch]
Kent: You, huh? Well you won't get away with this.Doctor Hathaway's gonna hear all about this. You'll rue the day!
Chris Knight: "Rue the day?" Who talks like that?

We had a 74 Squareback, no heater, bad fuel injectors to the point that sometimes when you got out you all smelled like gasoline but I could pack it full of kids and towels and pb&j and spend the day at the resevoir. It always started, but that heater thing was bad. When my husband sold it for 225 dollars I was so sad, but not nearly as sad as when we bought a 70 Nova with bad spark plug connections that we continually had to take off and dry out with a q tip. We were poor, but life was good.

A Nissan pickup truck.Did we have the same truck? Mine was an '86.
My dad had an '84 Toyota Camry that was a total lemon. It wouldn't go uphill. The problem was unfixable, despite many months in the shop.

Maxwell Smart drove a Sunbeam, didn't he?
Lucas wiring get you down, did it?
I had a Hillman Minx once. Funny looking Mr. Magoo kind of car. Ran pretty good after rebuilding the distributor. And the brakes. And the wiper motor. And fixing some really bad oil leaks. Gave it away for $100. Sort-of wish I still had it. But both front seats fell apart, collapsed. Didn't want to deal with it at the time.
Four hole Ford Pinto rims with radial tires were put on it by the guy I sold it to. An improvement, except that it made it actually lower geared than it was designed to be. The thing was too slow for the freeway as it was.
I think some of the earliest Japanese cars built after WWII used Roots Group (Sunbeam, Hillman, etc.) motor patterns.

“From the Horsey Horseless to the Model T”
I’ve seen this article before, and I honestly cannot believe that anyone would consider the Model T Ford a bad car. This car received more accolades by its owners than any car in history. It was legendary in its time, and legendary ever since. It was chosen as the most significant automobile of the 20th century. It sold 15 million copies. “Worst car”, my posterior.
