No contest: worst car I owned was a 1981 Volvo. Bought it new but what a hunk of junk — and cost a fortune to repair. Kept that thing for years and sunk way more than it was worth into it.
Never again, thanks —

Thanks, AZ, for the red, white, and blue tribute.

Sounds like your engine mounts were never properly torqued.

I agree. I owned a 71 Vega and a 1980 Plymouth Horizon (my second worst car) and the Vega was much worse. Chevy simply took their big car technology and scaled it down. The car was too heavy and the engine was underpowered. Also, the top part of the engine was made of aluminum and the bottom part was made of steel and they expanded at different rates. The engine died at about 70 k miles. I drove the Horizon for 150 K miles. Not bad for a cheap car.

A 1994 Chrysler E-class.
A list of problems with this car would take all night. The one that I remember best is that my feet would get wet when driving in the rain. The floor boards did not just get holes they completely fell away. Uggghhh what a lemon.

“CapnJack....what a horrible lemon that must have been. How long did you hang on?”
I had that thing for 9 years. I probably bought that thing twice over.
I will never buy another GM product again because of it.

I think there is a way to have your browser NOT show images. That way your browser can help keep the thread fast loading for you, while others can enjoy the images.

I owned a 1972 Ford Pinto and never ever had a problem with it. I put 135,000 miles on it before some chump rear ended me in a traffic jam (no the car did not explode!).
It was a good little car that I could work on myself as a shade tree mechanic.
The !@@$##! Lawyers perverted the cars reputation like they did the Chevy Monza.

WELCOME TO
(where our troops, allies and their families can refresh themselves)
Good morning, Everyone. Good morning
Thank you, Connie, for preparing the Canteen for today's activities.
Thinking back I'd have to say this was the worst car I ever had
Now for our local DC Metroland weather report
~ Today.....Areas of dense morning fog. Some clouds and possibly an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon. High 82F. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 30%.
~ Tonight..... Cloudy with a few showers. Low 54F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.
They say we'll have some rain today and I'm prepared in case they are right.
I've finally managed to get my workload down to a manageable level so watch out! I just might be lurking in the Canteen ready to pounce or something. And, LORDY.....move away from the 50s!
Now, I've got to make my rounds. But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!
Now remember, the Canteen is ALWAYS
So, come on in and sit for a while. There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS
REMEMBER THEM ....
DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM
FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.
