When he sets his mind to it, McCain can be an effective communicator. He is focused and mostly on point, which is a huge improvement from the last debate.He did not drive home the facts to show up Obama's lies.

I've become convinced that Fred Barnes desperately wants Obama to win. There's no other explanation for his insanity on the panel. Newspeople get very excited at the thought of the first black president -- they want to say they were there, no matter what it does to the country.

I was very worried at the beginning, but I totally agree. McCain did well. I hope the undecideds and stay-at-homers saw what I saw.
I like how he differentiated his health care approach on principle, very Reagan-like.
And he spoke very directly on judges and abortion too.
