I was expecting the worst. I was in great spirits at the end of the debate. McCain did the impossible: he sounded like a conservative. I walk away with the feeling he made the sale to the American people. On energy, abortion, Ayers and education he hit all the right notes. He did what he needed to do tonight. That's the bottom line.

Exactly.
Williams, I understand. He’s on Obama’s team.

HusseinO is on every side of every issue
McCain had the Balls to stand up for the unborn (which takes a lot of balls for a pres.candidate)
Barak H's closing statement opened with blaming Bush and throwing it on McCain, then promised everyone a chicken in every pot
McCains closing stement stated his qualifications

In an ideal world, health insurance benefits would be taxable income, with a sizable tax credit to “level the playing field” for the folks who have been getting the gold-plated plans from their employers. (Like UAW workers, for example.) It would really help everyone to get a plan that was suitable for the person or the family.

I watched it on CSpan with no talking heads. You should hear those silly people on Fox now. I think McCain did do it and I think he looked Presidential and Obama looked out of his element.

I agree with you. We’ve all got to vote McCain/Palin if this country is to have a chance to recover.
