STATEMENT FROM MCCAIN-PALIN SPOKESWOMAN MEG STAPLETON
Friday, October 10, 2008
ARLINGTON, VA McCain-Palin 2008 spokeswoman Meg Stapleton issued the following statement on todays release of Stephen Branchflowers report:
Todays report shows that the Governor acted within her proper and lawful authority in the reassignment of Walt Monegan. The report also illustrates what weve known all along: this was a partisan led inquiry run by Obama supporters and the Palins were completely justified in their concern regarding Trooper Wooten given his violent and rogue behavior. Lacking evidence to support the original Monegan allegation, the Legislative Council seriously overreached, making a tortured argument to find fault without basis in law or fact. The Governor is looking forward to cooperating with the Personnel Board and continuing her conversation with the American people regarding the important issues facing the country.

Oh look — McCain’s #1 RINO has shown up too!
Reagan would be ashamed of you.
You’ve got a sub-prime?
Then, you’ll be just fine, with a free home, and stuff.
You’ll be rolling in dough. ;o)
Why do you call them morons? Do you think they wanted it to be searchable?
Worst. Post. Ever
No he would be ashamed of YOU. Are you getting paid for your work here?
No problem. I suppose this is the end of this but the media will try to run with this as long as possible.
Nice summary. The people who conducted this inquiry would not have been out of place at a 1930s Soviet show trial.
McCain is just showing that he is totally unaware of the issues people worry about and is more concerned about the “feelings” of those across the aisle.
I almost think he does not want to win and is making sure he will not burn his bridges in the Senate.
How are we supposed to believe he will fight for America when he always cowers down before the enemy.
I honestly went and looked to see if it’s a full moon!
Such doom and gloom all over the place.
“Bunch o’ snivelin’ pansies!”
Well, in theory at least, we could get Palin for ten if he does that. Though we could get Palin for 12 years or more if McCain drops out before inauguration, then runs in 2012 at the head of the ticket, then drops out before inauguration, then runs in 2016 at the head of the ticket, drops out before inauguration, etc. In the (very) unlikely event all that were to happen, Palin would have served twelve years without having been elected President even once, and would thus still be eligible to be re-elected. Repeat as many times as desired.
After all the shot fired in this thread, would it be silly of me to mention that I love Sarah Palin as a VP pick, that I rooted for her weeks before, and I am still proud of her? Miss Slippy can attest to it, if properly bribed by me....
I saw the same thing on my Zoomtown homepage:
Alaska panel finds Palin abused power in firing

If you're looking for your marbles, they went down the storm drain grate; you may find them next time you go surfing.
Palin is the ultimate citizen-candidate that the founders envisioned.
ANYONE can be Prez or VP if they make the proper decisions. That’s all that matters in the end.
I will gladly be governed by any phone book NOT in a city in this country than the people we have now. Hard left wingers are a TINY percent of the population but a LARGE percentage of congress.
Mr Jd sure is a whiner. Maybe he should go pass out flyers for Barr on some street corner instead of being such a downer.
I have been very optimistic about the campaign so far but although this is obvious BS (how it contradicts itself from one finding to another), I don’t see how we can come back from this. McCain is already behind in the polls, this can’t help... and doesn’t this take the teeth out of any ethical attacks on NObama? How can McCain attack NObama without bringing up this “scandal”?
McCain may drop Palin (I hope not) but that would mean the end of his candidacy but can he really keep her now?
I’m very worried and depressed by this report, is there someone out there who can give me a plausible reason to continue to hope that this election is still winnable because I’m now very much bracing for a long Dem domination of Government.

I agree with you 100%!!!!!
Track Palin in 2024!
Neither you nor anyone else has cared to debate the issue. Simply repeating the mantra that Sarah Palin has saved democracy doesn’t make it true.
You betcha. Read about that in my profile, right under the wink and the STFU. LOL. It’s been there longer than the pictures.
