My wonderful DH was able to call me again early today from Iraq ... woo hooo! It sure perks me up and brightens my day when I hear from him.

Greetings to all the Freepers out there in Freeperland it's time for the Friday Flyby. Your humble poster has spent some time this week raiding the files over at Glenn Alderton's site www.warbirdz.net for this weekends pictures.For tonights Flyby we have mostly "modern" airplanes, that is planes after WW-II. For the Saturday Sortie I will have some WW-II planes. Unless otherwise noted all pics are by Glenn Alderton. Well on with the pics...

Leading off tonights Flyby we have a great picture of an Avro Vulcan taking off at Farnborough this last July.

From the Wanaka Air show in New Zealand last spring a pair of de Havilland Vampires are caught in mid-air.

Batting third in the Flyby's lineup this evening is this picture of a de Havilland vampire, a Gloster Meteor and a F/A-18 Hornet, yee haw!

Clean-up spot goes to this nice shot of a North American t-28 Trojan piloted by Kim Rolph-Smith and in the Backseat Limited. Photo Credit to Mick Raftery

Taken at Temora, Australia last summer is this nice picture of an A-37 Dragonfly.

Closing out the Friday Flyby a pair of pre WW-II planes a de Havilland Tiger Moth and a Ryan STM-S2(Think PT-16)
