Although legendary rocker Alice Cooper has been often quoted in the media as a supporter of the Republican Party, Cooper set the record straight during a recent interview with Canada's Hour.ca. "I'll be honest, I go from Democrat to Republican," he said. "I vote for the person, not the party. [As for U.S. Vice President hopeful Sarah Palin], I think she's totally a breath of fresh air. When they say she has no experience, maybe that's what Washington needs. I still don't know who I'm going to vote for. But in a shooting war, I want a pit bull, not a poodle. I'm gonna go for the hawk."

People want to spew these ill-informed, half-baked cliches to show how hip and in-the-know they are. They literally are stunned when you confront their stupid opinion and ask them to back it up in anyway.
Don't think this is just a liberal, democrat phenomenon. It happens here on Free Republic too!

My,my-—this is a toughie. Would I prefer to comment on an FR post based on a quote by the ditz, Paris Hilton, who is fascinated by the VP’s “hot bod”- or, comment on a post citing conservative icon, Mr. Alice Cooper, who endorses Ms. Palin for being a pit bull? Uh, MissBehave, you have me flummoxed. You’ll forgive me if I take some time to ponder this matter- it can have major repercussions on this election. . -:)

Always liked Alice Cooper. The first music I ever purchased was an 8-track of AC’s “Alice Cooper Goes to Hell.” I still remember Mom taking me to the record store to buy that one - if looks could kill......C

It’s beyond apologizing. On Dennis Miller’s radio show, he said he still gets flown out by Former President Bush to give it. And I think he’s on the Christmas card list.

Cool!
I'm not petty enough or stupid enough to choose who gets my vote based on the candidates’ respective celebrity supporters, but I do like Alice Cooper. His late- night radio show is fun to listen to, and he seems like a decent enough guy now. I remember one occasion on his radio show when he calmly dismissed the hysteria over global warming, with people attributing every odd weather occurrence to global warming. He said something like, “Where I came from as a kid, the river would flood a couple times a year, but back then we didn't call it ‘Global warming,’ we called it ‘A flood.’”
Plus, yeah, as some of the others here have noted, the scene with him in ‘Wayne's World’ was awesome!
In fact, the whole movie was a hilarious classic, which should be remembered for generations.

That's why the hags despise Palin so - she is beautiful, bright, strong, savvy, articulate, good figure, and down to earth - none of which attributes The Coven er, I mean, The View has.
