I was eating lunch today with the wife on her birthday. The table next to us was a gentleman and a young lady, well dressed, curiously looking at papers spread out over the table. The fellow had a briefcase with a huge McCain\Palin Victory sticker. Wife and I whispered about who they can be. Wife turned around and just had to ask. Well this was a Republican party of Pennsylvania honcho in charge of the Victory campaign for the good guys. We got into an interesting discussion about the debates, polling, etc. This what I heard
. It was very encouraging, the numbers that the campaign has been seeing. Not Zogby, Rassmussen, etc. He said real political analysts think those polls are for mass media consumption and not very accurate. This is straight from the horses mouth folks
McCain campaign is showing nationwide between +2-4 for McCain. I questioned the accuracy saying well all the polls I have seen, blah, blah. He interrupted me, Like I said ignore those polls , about useless. He said remember we had this talk , McCain will win Pa by at least 2 points. So buck up fellow soldiers.
What about the “Shift to the Democrat Party” that happened in 2006? or was that BS too?
Slight difference, though. Then, as the party guru, Rove had to put forth the most optimistic scenario. Now, he doesn’t. You can believe him or not as a TV analyst.
That is one strange picture. It appears to have a man’s hands holding binocs with a young lady behind them. :/
What shift? The Dems didn’t surge in 2006. Conservatives threw a hissy fit and stayed home. And the Republicans lost a LOT of House races by fairly thin margins. Which is why if conservatives stay focused and work hard, I think we can see a lot of vulnerable Dem freshmen out of work next January. (But don’t be misled. These same vulnerable Dems are well funded.)
Great news!!!!
Saraha and McCain can win PA. Hillary Dems are NOT going to vote Obama. The story is white Dems saw Obama steal the Dem Party. If Obama wins it is over for them. If they ave a union job it will be worse.
I would have bought the guy and the young lady lunch. I may be doing that anyway because my credit card and check book are working overtime. Too late for checks now so I go to McCain’s web site and the GOP/RNC site.
Volunteer and donate.
that is why I put it in quotes...I had a hunch that it was false since it comes from drive by outlets...
ping
I am telling you people that Kerry is a MUCH stronger candidate than Obama. A LOT of Hillary voters will go McCain or stay home.
They hate Obama for how he beat (cheated?) Hillary and they will lose the Dem Party to Obama/ACORN forever if Barry wins.
After we win we need to rip out the wiring for Acorn and Fannie & Freddie.
Okay, gotcha.
I love you.
You should have put it on the Underhill’s bill
Man Hands!
how’s the milk shopping going?? I would recommend some nice fresh straight from the farm goat milk, btw...
I have seen you say this on several other threads. You really need to spend some time looking at the internals of these polls, or any poll before you blindly believe them.
Ping. If things are looking this good in PA, then as you know that speaks well for OH.
Funny you asked. I ran out last night. :-) Think I’ll pass on the goat milk and go a bit more traditional.
I did look at the internals on this one. It looks like it gave around a 10% gap in favor of Ds to Rs. That seems a little excessive to me, but Gallup felt it was appropriate for whatever reason. Now, they may or may not be right, but Gallup is a non-partisan, respectable pollster with a good reputation. They are using this party ID breakdown for a reason.
I’m perfectly happy to be convinced otherwise. I just don’t want to fall into the trap of “not believing the polls” as we did in 2006.
I wonder whether riots might not happen in any event - celebration if “da bruthah” is elected and in protest if “da bruthah” isn’t elected.
These constant "dead heats" can't be coincidence!
Seems easier and easier for a very few who can manipulate votes (Like the crap happening in my state of Ohio) to be able to get "their guy" elected!
Just askin'.
