While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.
What are our drinking game key words?
“Gutwrenching”=1 drink
“unprepared” = 1 sip
“William Ayers” = 1 drink
“Reverend Wright” = 1 drink
“Wall Street & Main Street” in one sentence = 1 drink
It’s all about psy-ops.
Bravo, McCain.
Yeah, hopefully a head fake. If McCain doesn’t go after Obama hard, I fear that momentum will keep going the wrong way.
In a related story, McCain/Palin are coming to Lehigh University (Stabler Arena) in Bethlehem, PA tomorrow for a rally. I heard on the radio that all tickets were gone within hours of being offered.
I bet McCain mentions Wright & Ayers at least twice. Look at the coverage Palin has been getting and look at how well it’s playing. In for a penny in for a pound.
Im watching Foxnews, Chris Wallace and Carl Cameron, and if you ask me, which you havent, I see no reason for a debate as the pundits are already saying what each is going to say. They’re saying McCain wont touch Ayers, Wright or Rezko. What a shame!
Soothsayer!
What d'ya mean keep going?
According to the most recent "real" polls McCain is on the march.
“McCain needs to be focused like a laser beam and hit Obama on his liberal ideology.”
Democrat-Demanded Vote-buying Financial policy that selected Dems got FILTHY RICH off of is about to bankrupt THE ENTIRE PLANET!
If McCain has the stones to actually say that, this election is OVER...
Sadly, I know he does not.
My guess is that Obama won’t be able to resist the victim card with the punches Palin has been landing and will call on McCain to stop them. I think then and only then tonite will John bring the big guns out.
I’d hammer the hell out of him on Fannie Mae, taxes and guns and keep the Ayers stuff in reserve.
Like I said there is no way BO’s personality will allow for these “accusations” to go unanswered and door is then wide open.
McCain needs to say that this racist traitor who has friends like Willliam Ayres and Bernadine Dohrnand and slanders our troops doesn’t deserve to run for president or to be a US Senator and walk out!
Any word on whether he’ll offer a heartfelt apology for his important, prominent role in the Keating 5 scandal? Or for bombing the children of Vietnam? /s
It’s like he’s opening the 3rd quarter with 3 straight draw plays in a game he’s down by 3 touchdowns.
This debate is the last joke.
Right after, both leave the stage.
“Chris Wallace just spoke to a McCain debate prepper and he suggests that McCain wont go after Obama too hard. Nothing like Ayers, Wrights, etc”
And now let’s turn to sports....Jim, i hear you spoke to an assistant coach about tonight’s big game. What did he tell you? Well Tom, he suggested they were going to go pretty conservative. Run run run. Not much passing. Which seems strange to me, because they’ve been airing out the ball a lot in this week’s practices. But that’s what he said.
In other words, what they say and what they do before the big event may be two different things. Remember McCain was in the military. They know a little something about head fakes.
I’m not going to be home tonight. I’ll have to TiVo it.
Breaking News:
CNN,ABC,CBS,NBC,msnbc, and NPR have all announced that Barrack Obama is the winner of the debate.
Just wanted to get that stunning scoop out there.
Oh, and Olberfuhrer is upset.
