ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is accusing Democrat Barack Obama of "palling around with terrorists" for his association with a former 1960s radical.
Palin was referring to Bill Ayers, one of the founders of the group the Weather Underground. The group took credit for bombings, including nonfatal explosions at the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol four decades ago.

The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The "Cloward-Piven Strategy" seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse
Your post make a great campaign rally line.
His history includes: Franklin Marshal Davis, Saul Alinksy, William Ayres, George Soros, Jeremiah Wright, Public Allies, Chicago Annenberg Challenge, Zbignew Brzezinski and the list goes on.
It began in Hawaii with Franklin Marshal Davis. He’s been groomed through Columbia and Harvard to Chicago where lies the crucible for this toxic brew.
“Hitler changed Europe, Castro Changed Cuba and Chavez Change Venezuela”
And liberals supporting Obama miss one of the most important points that 20th Century history should teach us.
THEY, Liberal Democrat types, are ALWAY the first victims of “Change”...
Meglomaniac narccissists like Obama can’t have any Dissenters to stand in the way of his “Change” when they find out what it really is, can he...
Those who brought folks the likes Hitler, Stalin, Castro, and Pol Pot, etc., to power were the first victims when the power consolidation began.
My God, what a beautiful photo of Sarah.
Ayers is currently a Distinguished Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Education. His interests include teaching for social justice, urban educational reform, narrative and interpretive research, children in trouble with the law, and related issues.
He began his career in primary education while an undergraduate, teaching at the Childrens Community School (CCS), a project founded by a group of students and based on the Summerhill method of education. After leaving the underground, he earned an M.Ed from Bank Street College in Early Childhood Education (1984), an M.Ed from Teachers College, Columbia University in Early Childhood Education (1987) and an Ed.D from Columbia University in Curriculum and Instruction (1987).
They let a declared terrorist near children?
My only fear, and Obama’s only hope, now is McCain stepping up and saying he “doesn’t agree with Governor Palin” and thinks it’s not “the kind of campaign he wants to run” or something like that. What are the odds?
So, Obama, you pal around with terrorists, eh?
He's fleeing the interview ! He's fleeing the interview!
I think he’s letting Sarah be Sarah.
The fact that a man who bombed federal buildings is permitted to teach in American universities is beyond my comprehension.
I can't believe you actually think I don't. I've had that up on my FR Home page for months. I asked you about the Revolutionary Communist Party member you said owned the house. Where did you get that info from? Or were you saying Ayers owns the house and is a member of the RCP? In any case, he definitely IS still a revolutionary communist, whether he belongs to the RCP or not.
I don’t think she brought this up without clearance from the campaign. And, given the other news stories popping up in just the last little bit here, I believe its an organized attack.
That is the way to do it. All cameras are on Sarah let her turn it around. lol Love it. Now let’s hope McCain doesn’t go bipartisan on us again.
Compare, for example McCain. Much more realistic scenario: McCain is Pro-life, anti-abortion. Suppose he had a long association with an abortion clinic bomber who while admitting the bombings, got off because of government bungling of the case. Suppose the bomber said in a newspaper article "we didn't do enough." Think the press would ignore it? Not in a minute.
ON THE MORNING OF THE ATTACKS on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, along with a million other readers of the New York Times including many who would never be able to read the paper again, I opened its pages to be confronted by a color photo showing a middle-aged couple holding hands and affecting a defiant look at the camera. The article was headlined in an irony that could not have been more poignant, "No Regrets For A Love Of Explosives."
The couple pictured were Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, former leaders of the 1960s Weather Underground, Americas first terrorist cult. One of their bombing targets, as it happened, was the Pentagon.
"I dont regret setting bombs," Ayers was quoted in the opening line of the Times profile; "I feel we didnt do enough."
In 1969, Ayers and his wife convened a "War Council" in Flint Michigan, whose purpose was to launch a military front inside the United States with the purpose of helping Third World revolutionaries conquer and destroy it.
Taking charge of the podium, dressed in high-heeled boots and a leather mini-skirt her signature uniform Dorhn incited the assembled radicals to join the war against "Amerikkka" and create chaos and destruction in the "belly of the beast."
Her voice rising to a fevered pitch, Dohrn raised three fingers in a "fork salute" to mass murderer Charles Manson whom she proposed as a symbol to her troops. Referring to the helpless victims of the Manson Family as the "Tate Eight" (the most famous was actress Sharon Tate) Dohrn shouted:
"Dig It. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, they even shoved a fork into a victims stomach! Wild!"
(big snip)
Today William Ayers is not merely an author favored by the New York Times, but a Distinguished Professor of Education at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
His Lady Macbeth [Bernardine Dohrn] is not merely a lawyer, but a member of the American Bar Associations governing elite, as well as the director of Northwestern Universitys Children and Family Justice Center.

Confession (Manson Family)
When they got in the house, Susan [Atkins] said that in the living room there was a man on the couch and a woman on the chair reading. Then some of Susan's group stayed in the living room, while Susan went into the bedroom where Sharon was sitting on the bed talking to Jay Sebring. They quickly put nooses over Sharon and Jay's heads so that if they moved they would choke.
Frykowski ran for the door. "He was full of blood," she said and claimed that she had stabbed him three or four times. "He was bleeding and he ran to the front part, and would you believe that he was there hollering 'Help, help, somebody please help me,' and nobody came? Then we finished him off."
"Sharon was the last to die," Susan said with a laugh as she described how Sharon was begging her, " Please don't kill me. Please don't kill me. I don't want to die. I want to live. I want to have my baby. I want to have my baby."
Susan said she just looked at Sharon straight in the eye and said, "Look, bitch, I don't care about you. I don't care if you're going to have a baby. You had better be ready. You're going to die and I don't feel anything about it...In a few minutes I killed her."
Susan said she saw that there was Sharon's blood on her hand and she tasted it. "Wow, what a trip! To taste death, and yet give life."

“...During the time (1999 to 2002) that Obama was a director, the Woods Fund made generous contributions to an Arab group founded by Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi, a supporter of the PLO while it was labeled by the U.S. State Department as a terror group, and another host of an Obama fundraiser. The group in question, the Arab American Action Network, subscribes to the idea that the establishment of the state of Israel is a Nakba, a catastrophe.”

You need to reply to “tcrlaf” not me!
Henry Bonilla of Texas, in his 2006 runoff against Ciro Rodriguez attempted the exact same line in trying to tie Rodriguez to terrorists. The attempt fell flat on it’s face. The attempt was one of the biggest reasons cited why voters turned against Bonilla. Voters perceived the attack as over the top.
Never make your political opponent a martyr by attacks that could end up being perceived as unreasonable and excessive. People are less and less tolerant. I don’t think people want to hear that Obama is a terrorist supporter. He has done nothing in the public’s opinion to support that accusation. People want to know what the candidates are going to do about the economy.
Bill Clinton achieved his highest approval ratings, in the 70’s, during the impeachment proceedings. There are some lessons to be learned there. It may feel real good to go down this road. However doing what feels good doesn’t guarantee winning an election.
