The cable news networks are standing by for a press conference by House Republicans on the bailout bill. It should start some time after 6:30 p.m. EDT.
Paulson donated to many Rep candidates, but also to Bill Clinton back in 1992......and before that to Jay Rockefeller, another dem.
I hope the House Republicans are behind the scenes working for us!

..who bought these ridiculous loans -packaged as securities...
.. while we borrow from these banks to pay for the bailout?

Well, actually, there is: Stocks to zero. Of course stocks are not all worth zero, but they really should be reset naturally to their true value and not based on speculation.

They will intimitidate the press to only report good things..every new story and TV news will begin with ..Today Pres. Obama..bestowed something on someone.
Plus they will enroll so many illegals on the voter rolls that they will have a permanent majority.
Look at what Obama tried to do in Chicago and St. Louis with the press. The fairness doctrine will be only fair to Obama and the Rats.
This won’t be like Carter, because we are miles further gone now..with millions of illegals just waiting to pull the lever RAT=Socialist. Something for nothing..
For the following reasons, you ignorant git:
1) It’s the wrong way to solve this problem.
2) A huge portion of the public is against this bailout.
3) The Dems can pass this bill without the Republicans voting on it, so if it’s so great and so important, the Dems can just pass it themselves and take all the glory.

There is no way I want to see 40 more years of socialist Democrat rule and/or another world war to get them out of power. Obama as President can destroy this country. There will be no check or balance on him from any of the other 3 branches of government (yes, I'm counting the MSM as the 4th (and unconstitutional) branch of government because of their government based monopoly of power and influence).

Pelosi’s leftists do NOT have a majority. Her *party’s* majority is because of 25 Democrat seat warmers sitting in seats from GOP districts. THEY WILL NOT VOTE FOR THIS WITHOUT GOP COVER.
THAT is the problem. She can’t get her own people to vote unanimous because those 25 know they’ll be booted in Nov.
They GOP should transform this bill into ultraconservatism because they have total power and no blame. They can say . . . she could have passed the bill with none of our votes. She chose not to for purely political reasons, and sacrificed America in so doing.

I'll second that! hopefully we won't be a minority for much longer! Let's vote more pro capitalist leadership into our public servant positions!
