Jobs come from the bottom up.
I heard it. It’s that “trickle-up economics,” I guess.
Yes, you heard it right. There’s a transcript of the whole debate posted. Check the side bar. It’s near his talking points about giving 95 percent of working people a tax cut.
The same people who decry the lack of depth and detail in our campaigns are the ones who are always on CNN barking about having to boil things down to a bumper sticker slogan. They then complain that the OTHER guy is all about "bumper sticker slogans".
At the bottom will be people with their hands out. At the top will be a plethora of government entities dribbling out cash in exchange for promise of votes.
“Bottom Up” means nationalizing small businesses... and giving them to the well meaning indigents like in Zimbabwe.
Well, let’s see now. He wants to give lots more money to welfare people who will then spend more and create new jobs. The only problem is that the people who supply the new jobs will be paying much higher taxes and won’t be able to pay their workers so there won’t BE anything to buy. Good thinking, O Brilliant One.

‘Bottom up’? How naive. It defies logic.
McCain should just respond to Barry: “Just stop it with that socialist claptrap and class warfare. This is America, not the old Soviet union.”
The left has been trying that “bottom-up” thing since at least Johnson’s “great society” and it’s failed miserably. All it has achieved after 4 decades is 3 generations of welfare families, dependent on the working folks to carry their weight.
Give it to him, bottom feeders know about the bottom.
He wants to fix the economy from the ground up...but doesn’t want to do that to the mortgage loan problems in the bailout plan.
Oh yeah Obama....you’re full of you know what.
People invest capital in a business and hire workers and buy equipment. The capitalists work hard to sell their products or services and, if successful, employees share in that success.
You can't build a capitalist economy from the bottom up because those at the bottom have no capital to start the process unless they are given the capital of those who had it to begin with (communist redistribution of wealth).
