McCain gets a slight edge among 14 undecided Pennsylvania voters (LA TIMES)

ALLENTOWN, PA. -- To a small cross section of crucial voters gathered in this presidential battleground, Friday's debate provided a slight boost for Republican John McCain but left him and Democrat Barack Obama with much to do to sway fence-sitters in the next five weeks.

More than a dozen undecided voters gathered Friday night at Muhlenberg College, a small liberal arts school in eastern Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley, a region traditionally coveted by presidential candidates because of its high concentration of swing voters.

Six of the 14 voters said they were more likely to vote for McCain after the 90-minute session, and four said the same of Obama. Four said they remained unswayed.

Bruce Glazier, a registered Republican from Upper Macungie Township who has voted Democratic in the last two elections, said he was leaning more strongly toward McCain.

"McCain seemed a little more polished," said Glazier, who works in credit and collections. "He really unflapped [Obama] quite a few times." He declined to cite an example. "I just felt Obama lost it. He is not as believable as McCain."

Whenever I used to say, “I didn’t know that”, my mom would always respond, “There’s a lot you don’t know”. Apparently BO’s mom never said this to him or maybe he thinks he knows it all. Unfortunately, he doesn’t know how much he doesn’t know.

The Bay Area however is hoplessly lost. Always has been.

Contra Costa County would probably be the closest thing to a GOP outpost in the Bay Area. SF, Marin, Solano, Alameda, San Mateo, and probably Santa Clara Counties are pretty much toast.

Yeah and McCain was WEARING the bracelet. The DUmmies at DU posted crap that McCain was looking at his watch.

When NoBama could not even show his wrist. He was not wearing the braclet.

And after all the “not gonna’s”, “don’t have to’s” “does not prove my patriotism” NoBama was wearing the Flag pin.

McCain does not have to, he earned the right. I admire McCain on what he has done and been through, just need to bap him in the head for playing on the dark side sometimes.

Libs are never and will never be your friends. So just walk on them they will scream like mad that it is your fault when they walk on you, give them a REAL reason to scream; boot treads on their foreheads, and don’t say sorry.

The Obamabots have done a good job of planting and germinating this stupid notion that if you don’t vote Obama you are a racist. This prevents them from saying out loud that they support McCain. Obama did best in the caucuses where folks had to declare publicly their loyalities, not so hot where Citizens used the Australian Ballot. This will catch up to Obama on Nov. 4.

I wonder if all of the Examiner paper boxes have been getting looted each day since they endorsed McCain and Sarah?

Rush has said when he gets a caller from Allentown, “I own Allentown.” McCain should be winning handily there.

The point the McCain camp should hammer home is that when asked what he’d do differently given the current financial crisis is that he still wants to spend more money. Where is Obama going to get the money for all of that new spending he wants? McCain needs to hammer home that Obama apparently believes in the “Magic Money Tree”, a way to suck money from the economy into government that doesn’t hurt the economy.
